The NBA has suspended Atlanta star guard Dejounte Murray for tonight’s Game 5 at Boston. The sixth-year veteran was issued a one-game ban without pay due to bumping an official at the conclusion of Sunday’s 129-121 home loss in Game 4.

Murray had 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and one blocked shot in the loss. The former Spur has enjoyed an outstanding series, averaging 25.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.3 steals.

During his first-regular season with Atlanta, Murray averaged 20.5 points, 6.1 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

Most books had opened the Celtics as either 10.5 or 11-point home favorites for Game 5. In anticipation of a likely suspension for Murray, most spots were up to -12 or -12.5 by late Monday morning. After the NBA’s announcement, Boston moved to a 13 or 13.5-point ‘chalk.’

The total dropped from 231 or 231.5 points down to 229.5. The Hawks are +650 on the money line at BetMGM.
