The Memphis Grizzlies have suspended All-Star guard Ja Morant from all team activities. Once again, this knucklehead was seen with a gun on an Instagram Live video that began circulating on social media Saturday night.
In a statement released by Grizzlies PR on their twitter account, the team said, “We are aware of the social media video involving Ja Morant. He is suspended from all team activities pending League review. We have no further comment at this time.”
NBA spokesperson Mike Bass said, “We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information.”
This latest incident comes only two months after Morant was suspended eight games by the NBA for flashing a gun on Instagram Live at a Denver nightclub.
At that time back in March, NBA commissioner Adam Silver dubbed Morant’s conduct as “irresponsible, reckless and potentially very dangerous.”
This time around, Morant’s incompetence is going to get him hammered with a long-term suspension, and you’ve got to think that the Grizzlies will make it clear that he has zero room for error moving forward.
