FanDuel has updated its lines for 14 different Games of the Year.
Let’s start with Week 3 when the book has two games listed. FSU is a 1.5-point home favorite vs. Memphis with a total of 52.5
The Tigers will come to Tallahassee on Sept. 14 to face their former head coach Mike Norvell. The Seminoles have an open date this weekend after dropping back-to-back games as double-digit favorites to start the season, becoming the first team to do so since 1979 (H/T, VSIN’s Tim Murray).
In Week Zero over in Dublin, Ireland, the ‘Noles lost a 24-21 decision to Ga. Tech as 10.5-point ‘chalk.’ Then on Monday night at Doak Campbell Stadium, Boston College embarrassed FSU 28-13 as a 16.5-point road underdog, cashing +700 money-line tickets at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas.
Memphis opened its season with a 40-0 win over North Alabama as a 37.5-point home favorite. The Tigers host Troy on Saturday.
Alabama is a 16.5-point road favorite at Wisconsin with a total of 55.5. The Badgers are +480 on the money line.
The Crimson Tide obliterated Western Kentucky 63-0 in its opener at Bryant-Denny Stadium. As for the Badgers, they failed to cover the number in a 28-14 win over Western Michigan as 24-point home favorites.
In Week 4 on Sept. 21, FanDuel has Michigan as a 2.5-point home favorite (at a -115 price) vs. Southern Cal. The Trojans are +116 on the money line, and the total is 52.5 points.
Alabama has won eight of its last nine head-to-head meetings against Georgia, which hasn’t won at Bryant-Denny Stadium since 2007 when Matthew Stafford threw a walk-off TD pass in overtime. Nevertheless, UGA is a 3.5-point road favorite (at a -115 price) for its Sept. 28 trip to Tuscaloosa.
The total is 54.5 points, while ‘Bama is +142 on the money line.
Mark your calendar for Oct. 12. There are three monster games that weekend, including Ole Miss at LSU, Ohio St. at Oregon and Texas vs. Oklahoma.
FanDuel has the Rebels as 3.5-point road favorites (-105 price) for their trip to Baton Rouge. Most books had LSU installed as a 2.5 or three-point home favorite in this game over the summer. We should note that the Tigers will have two weeks to prepare for Lane Kiffin’s squad, which will be playing its seventh game in seven weeks.
The total for Ole Miss-LSU is 62.5 points, and Brian Kelly’s squad is +128 on the money line.
Texas is listed as a 6.5-point favorite (-115) favorite vs. Oklahoma. The total is 60.5 points, while the Sooners are +190 to win outright.
Oregon is a 1.5-point home favorite (-102) vs the Buckeyes, while the total is 56.5 points.
On Oct. 19, Georgia is a 2.5-point road ‘chalk’ (-115) at Texas. The Longhorns are +114 on the money line, and the total is 55.5 points.
Miami is installed as a 12.5-point home favorite vs. FSU on Oct. 26. The total is 54.5 points, and the ‘Noles are +340 to win outright.
Alabama is a 4.5-point road favorite (-112) at LSU. The Tigers are +158 on the money line, while the total is 58.5 points.
Most spots had UGA as a 17-point home favorite vs. Tennessee throughout the summer, but FanDuel now has the number at -14.5. The Vols have +470 odds to pull the upset, and the total is 56.5 points.
Notre Dame is -1.5 (-115) at USC, while Ohio St. is -13.5 at home vs. Michigan. The Buckeyes will be looking to end a three-game losing streak to the Wolverines.
