Clemson (3-2 straight up, 2-3 against the spread) third-year sophomore nickel Corian Gipson will miss the rest of the 2026 season due to a meniscus injury, head coach Dabo Swinney announced Monday.
“He’s going to have to have knee surgery with his meniscus, and he’ll probably be out for a few months,” Swinney said.
In four games this year, Gipson contributed 17 tackles, one forced fumble and one pass broken up. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, he played in 12 games and recorded 12 tackles and three PBU.
Gipson had five tackles, one forced fumble and one PBU in this past Saturday’s 41-13 home loss vs. Miami.
Clemson has an open date in Week 6 after the Hurricanes snapped their three-game winning streak. The Tigers have two weeks to prepare for a home game vs. Charleston Southern.
They’ll get Va. Tech at Memorial Stadium on Oct. 24. Swinney’s squad has three remaining road assignments, including games at FSU, at Syracuse and at Duke. Clemson will get Ga. Tech at home on Nov. 14 and will host South Carolina in its regular-season finale.
FanDuel has Clemson’s updated season win total at 6.5 (‘over’ -186, ‘under’ +144). The Tigers have 50/1 odds to win the ACC Championship Game. They’ve 1,250/1 odds to win the College Football Playoff.
