Good morning, all! I was awful in the NFL on Sunday (a disgusting and despicable 1-6 against the spread), but perhaps my luck turned last night when I was fortunate to cash a ticket on ‘over’ 45 points in Tennessee’s 28-27 come-from behind win at Miami.

My NBA plays have remained steadily solid, though, and I went 2-1 ATS last night. My winners were Denver -2.5 at Atlanta and ‘over’ 242.5 points for Washington at Philadelphia.

The Nuggets won 129-122 over the Hawks, while the 76ers trashed the Wizards, 146-101, for 247 combined points. My loss was a bad one with ‘over’ 225 points in Orlando’s 104-94 home win over Cleveland.

The 2-1 ledger last night improved my NBA record to 38-27 (58%, +833 on $100 plays or +8.33 Units). That leaves my NBA profit ranked at #3 on VegasInsider out of 29 handicappers. My percentage is ranked fifth.

I’ve enjoyed most of my success on NBA totals, cashing tickets at a 28-13 clip (68%, +13.63 Units) to rank #1 on VI. I’ve got my eye on a pair of totals for tonight.

Sacramento at L.A. Clippers (-3, 234) 

When these teams met on Nov. 29, the Clippers won 131-117 at Sacramento with the 248 combined points going ‘over’ the 231.5-point total. The ‘over’ has cashed in three straight head-to-head meetings between these clubs, with the other two combined scores netting 255 and 351 points.

The game with 351 points came in a contest that went to overtime, but the combined score at the end of regulation was still 296 points.

The ‘over’ is currently on a 6-1 run for Sacramento in its last seven games. Those six ‘overs’ have had combined scores of 235, 247, 248, 240, 244 and 249 points.

The only somewhat relevant injury potentially impacting tonight’s game – at least on the injury reports as of 10:30 a.m. Eastern – is the ‘questionable’ status of L.A.’s Bones Hyland, who averages 8.3 points per game.

PREDICTION: ‘Over’ 234 points. 

Denver (-7) at Chicago (220)

The ‘over’ has cashed at a 7-1 clip for Chicago in its last eight games, with those seven ‘overs’ producing combined scores of 229, 227, 221, 233, 242, 233 and 262 points.

The 262 combined points came in last night’s 133-129 overtime loss at Milwaukee, but there were 236 combined points in regulation.

The ‘over’ is 4-2 for Denver it its last six games, including last night’s 129-122 win at Atlanta that saw the 251 combined points go ‘over’ the 242-point tally.

The Nuggets had 10 players play double-figure minutes last night, and four of the five starters played 29 minutes or fewer. Therefore, I don’t think we’ll see them with dead legs on perimeter jumpers tonight.

PREDICTION: ‘Over’ 220 points.
