The NFL announced today that it has suspended former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 regular season due to violations of the league’s Personal Conduct Policy.
Tucker will be eligible for reinstatement on Tuesday, Nov. 11. He remains unsigned after being released by the Ravens in early May.
Tucker’s suspension can be served while not being under contract with another franchise. He’s still free to try out and be signed. If he’s signed before or during training camp, he is allowed to play in preseason games.
The suspension stems from a plethora of off-the-field allegations involving sexual misconduct. The allegations have been levied by 16 different massage therapists from eight spas and wellness centers in the Baltimore area.
The alleged incidents occurred between 2012 and 2016.
The 35-year-old Tucker has maintained his innocence throughout the NFL’s investigation that began in February.
Tucker’s representative Rob Roche released the following statement: “We are disappointed with the NFL’s decision. Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud. He stands by his previous statements. In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter. The people who know Justin best know his character and understand that while he remains fully committed to excellence as a football player, he is deeply dedicated to his most important lifetime roles as a father, husband, and friend.”
The Baltimore Banner reported that Tucker was banned from two spas, but his attorneys have denied that report.
The seven-time Pro-Bowler was the last remaining Raven who played for the 2012 team that won the Super Bowl over San Francisco in New Orleans.
Tucker has the best field-goal percentage (89.1%) in NFL history and owns the longest kick as well, a 66-yard game winner at Detroit in 2021.
However, he’s coming off the worst season of his career when he hit only 22-of-30 FGAs (73.3%) and missed two extra points.
