Mark Stoops has found a replacement for Will Levis. Former North Carolina State quarterback Devin Leary announced late Tuesday morning that he’s transferring to Kentucky.

Leary sustained a season-ending shoulder injury in the Wolfpack’s 19-17 win over Florida State as a 3.5-point home favorite back on Oct. 8. In six games this year, he completed 61.1 percent of his passes for 1,265 yards with an 11/4 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He also had three rushing TDs.
In 2021, Leary led NC St. to a 9-3 record by throwing for 3,433 yards with an elite 35/5 TD-INT ratio. He completed 65.7 percent of his passes and added a pair of rushing scores.
As a freshman and sophomore in 2019 and ’20, Leary played in 12 games. He threw for 2,109 yards and 16 TDs compared to seven interceptions.
Dave Doeren’s team went 17-4 in Leary’s last 21 starts for the program. He has 6,807 career passing yards and a 62/16 TD-INT ratio.
