
Alabama (7-2 straight up, 5-4 against the spread) kept its College Football Playoff hopes alive this past Saturday night by blasting LSU 42-13 as a three-point road favorite.
The victory came at a cost, however, as fifth-year senior linebacker Que Robinson was lost for the rest of the season due to an upper-body injury sustained in Baton Rouge.
Robinson has played in all nine games for the Crimson Tide this year, recording 23 tackles, seven tackles for loss, six QB hurries, a team-best four sacks and one forced fumble. He had two tackles and one QB hurry in the win at LSU.
In 2023, Robinson contributed 24 tackles, 2.5 TFL’s, two QB hurries and 1.5 sacks.
Alabama QB Jalen Milroe stole the show in Redstick, rushing for 185 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 attempts. he completed 12-of-18 passes for 109 yards.
Alabama will host Mercer on Saturday before playing at Oklahoma on Nov. 23. Kalen DeBoer’s team will plays its regular-season finale at home vs. Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
FanDuel has Texas as the +105 ‘chalk’ to win the SEC Championship Game. Alabama has the next-shortest odds at +420, while the rest of the board consists of Ole Miss (+650), Tennessee (+750), Texas A&M (+1000 or 10/1) and Georgia (11/1).
The Tide has the fifth-shortest odds to win the CFP at +850. Ohio St. is the +300 favorite at FanDuel, followed by Oregon (+420), Texas (+450) and Georgia (+750). Ole Miss has +950 odds.
