The Miami Heat have acquired Norman Powell from the Los Angeles Clippers in a three-team trade.

The 32-year-old Powell is coming off a career season. He averaged 21.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game, hitting 41.8 percent of his 3-pointers, 48.4 percent of his field-goal attempts and 80.4 percent of his free throws.

Powell wasn’t as productive in seven postseason games, averaging 16.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 SPG. He made only 35.0 percent of his treys in the playoffs.

Powell has averaged at least 16.0 PPG in five of the last six seasons. The Clippers were reluctant to sign him to an extension as he enters the final year of his contract that pays him $20.4 million in 2025-26.

Utah is the third team in the deal. The Jazz sent John Collins to Los Angeles and received Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and the Clippers 2027 second-round pick.

The 27-year-old Collins is going into the final year of his contract that’s worth $26.5 million this season. In 40 regular-season games for Utah this past year, he averaged 19.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 blocked shots and 1.0 SPG.

The 36-year-old Love is a five-time All-Star who averaged 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 23 regular-season games for Miami this past season. Those were the lowest numbers of his 17-year career.

Anderson, 31, was acquired by Miami in the deal that sent Jimmy Butler to Golden St. He played in 25 regular-season games for the Heat, averaging 6.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 APG.

The Clippers recently signed James Harden to a two-year deal for $81.5 million. They also inked Brook Lopez to a two-year contract worth $18 million.

Without Powell, the Clippers are looking for a combo guard and have the $5.3 million midlevel exception they can use.

Miami and Utah have 220/1 and 1,000/1 future odds, respectively.
