MLB Betting Preview: Diamondbacks at Giants

Arizona (Nelson) +150 at San Francisco (Webb); Total 8u -115.

Not much respect given to the D-backs or starter Ryne Nelson, despite the fact he is off of his sharpest effort of the young season, allowing just one run in 6 IP vs. the Cards last weekend in a 4-2 D-backs win.

Arizona hits Oracle Park with a very modest 9-10 SU mark, but the schedule has been pretty demanding in the early weeks for Arizona, and it’s worth noting that the Snakes won all three starts made by Nelson against the Giants last season; across the last two, Nelson allowed just 3 runs and 8 hits across 13 1/3 IP.  The oddsmakers’ respect for the Giants tonight is probably due to starter Logan Webb, who is off of a pair of solid starts.

But San Francisco is hardly burning up the track in the NL West at just 8-11 (behind the D-backs, in fact), and the Giants won in only two of Webb’s four starts last season against Arizona.

Not the easiest schedule spot for San Francisco, either, on the first day back from a long road trip that ended in faraway Miami on Wednesday (a 3-1 Giants win).  PLAY D-BACKS ON MONEY LINE
