UCLA quarterback, ‘DTR,’ defends head coach Chip Kelly

UCLA junior quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson defended his head coach Chip Kelly after today’s Los Angeles Times report indicated that players didn’t trust the third-year coach.

‘DTR’ tweeted at the newspaper’s account, “Don’t turn this into a feeding frenzy on Coach, this is about the safety of the program as a whole.”

As a sophomore in 2019, Thompson-Robinson completed 59.7 percent of his passes for 2,701 yards with a 21/12 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He also had 198 rushing yards and four TDs.

In 2018, ‘DTR’ threw for 1,311 yards with a 7/4 TD-INT ratio. He has 100/1 odds to win the Heisman Trophy at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas.
