San Antonio Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge had season-ending shoulder surgery on April 24, the team announced earlier today.
San Antonio is four games back of Memphis for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. The Spurs are one of five teams in the West that are invited to Orlando for eight regular-season “seeding” games to try and qualify for the playoffs.
Aldridge, a seven-time All-Star selection, averaged 18.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this year. He is expected to be ready for training camp in the fall.
