There's a -120 price either way on whether or not Teddy Bridgewater will be a starting QB in Week 1 of the 2020 season.

Now that the Super Bowl is in the past, bookmakers have turned their attention to what is projected to be an entertaining offseason in the NFL.

While the Los Angeles Chargers have not completely closed the door on Phillip Rivers returning for another season, odds have been posted for other options at quarterback.

Tyrod Taylor, who spent the 2019 season as Rivers’ backup in Los Angeles, is a +150 ‘chalk’ to be the starting quarterback in Week 1 of the 2020 season, according to BetOnline.

If the Chargers decide to look elsewhere in free agency or in the NFL Draft, there are several options. New Orleans’ backup Teddy Bridgewater is listed at +500, while former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is also +500.

In a separate prop at BetOnline, Bridgewater has a -120 price both ways to be a starting quarterback (or not) in Week 1.

Meanwhile, Rivers will likely have several options if he is no longer in Los Angeles. The veteran is a +200 ‘chalk’ to play for Tampa Bay, while Indianapolis is slated at +300 and Carolina is +400.

According to the oddsmakers, Cam Newton is expected to remain Carolina’s starter. Newton is listed at -150 to start in Week 1 for the Panthers, with bettors getting a +110 return if he doesn’t.

Jameis Winston has +150 odds to start for Tampa Bay in Week 1.

Several franchise tags are probably going to be applied when the window opens later this month. The one-year deal holds a player’s rights with a team and prevents them from becoming a free agent.

Dallas is -500 to give the franchise tag to quarterback Dak Prescott, and Tennessee is -500 to tag quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The Chiefs are listed at -300 to franchise tag defensive tackle Chris Jones.

In other news, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is -120 to re-sign with Seattle. Clowney played in 13 games last season and recorded 31 tackles. He intercepted a pass and picked up three sacks.

Retired tight end Rob Gronkowski is unlikely to make a comeback next season, as BetOnline lists him at +300 to be on an NFL roster in Week 1. Chicago quarterback Mitch Trubisky is -500 to be the Bears starting quarterback.
