After cancelling their trade with the Las Vegas Raiders for DE Maxx Crosby on Tuesday night, the Baltimore Ravens inked a four-year deal with DE Trey Hendrickson that’s worth $112 million and could grow to $120 million if he meets certain incentives.
The 31-year-old Hendrickson is a four-time Pro-Bowl selection who spent his last five seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was limited to seven games this past year due to a core muscle injury. He recorded 16 tackles, eight QB Hits, four sacks, three tackles for loss, one pass broken up and one forced fumble.
In 2024, Hendrickson played in all 17 regular-season games and produced 46 tackles, 36 QB Hits, 19 TFL’s, an NFL-best 17.5 sacks, six PBU and two forced fumbles. He finished second behind Denver CB Patrick Surtain II in voting for AP Defensive Player of the Year honors.
In his first season with the Bengals in 2021, Hendrickson helped them advance to the Super Bowl. In four postseason games, he had eight tackles, five QB Hits, 3.5 sacks, two TFL’s and one forced fumble. In 16 regular-season games, he had 34 tackles, 27 QB Hits, 14 sacks, 12 TFL’s and three forced fumbles.
The New Orleans Saints took Hendrickson with their third-round pick and the #103 overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. He played his college ball at Florida Atlantic, where he garnered Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2016.
Hendrickson spent four seasons in New Orleans before signing with Cincinnati.
In 117 career regular-season games, Hendrickson has recorded 236 tackles, 163 QB Hits, 81 sacks, 74 TFL’s, 16 PBU and 15 forced fumbles. He has produced 19 tackles, eight QB Hits, five TFL’s, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one PBU in 12 career postseason contests.
Hendrickson was reportedly in talks with the Colts, Bills, Buccaneers, Commanders and Eagles before the Ravens swooped in after nixing their trade for Crosby.
