According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Denver Broncos are sending three picks – their first-round selection (#30 overall) plus their third (#94) and fourth-rounders (#130) in the 2026 NFL Draft – to the Miami Dolphins for their fourth-round selection (#111) and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
The trade is pending the 27-year-old Waddle passing a physical on Wednesday.
Prior to the deal, Denver was the only NFL franchise that hadn’t signed a free agent yet, but the Broncos are acquiring a serious impact player in Waddle.
The University of Alabama product played in 16 of 17 regular-season games this past year, hauling in 64 receptions for 910 yards and six touchdowns. He added 28 rushing yards on a pair of attempts.
Waddle was Miami’s first-round pick with the #6 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. He wasted no time making his presence felt, producing 104 catches for 1,015 yards and six TDs. He also had a rushing TD and was named to the NFL’s All-Rookie Team.
In 2022, Waddle had 75 receptions for 1,356 yards and eight TDs in 17 regular-season outings. He had three catches for 44 yards in a 34-31 loss at Buffalo in the playoffs.
Despite missing three regular-season games in 2023, Waddle still caught 72 balls for 1,014 yards and four TDs. In a 26-7 loss at Kansas City in the postseason, he was limited to two receptions for 31 yards.
Waddle has played in 78 career regular-season games in his first five years in the NFL, contributing 373 catches for 5,039 yards and 26 TDs. He has 81 career rushing yards and one TD, averaging 5.8 yards per carry.
Denver’s WR room is now composed of Waddle, Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant, Marvin Mims Jr., Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Michael Bandy.
Miami will probably look to add a WR with one of its two first-round choices (#11 and #30). The Dolphins’ WR room is currently made up of Tutu Atwell, Terrace Marshall Jr., Malik Washington, Theo Wease Jr., AJ Henning and Tahj Washington.

Miami is a 250/1 longshot to win Super Bowl LXI. The ‘Fins share the longest odds on the board with the Jets, Browns and Cardinals. They are 30/1 to win the AFC East.
