FanDuel has hypothetical lines for finals

FanDuel has released numbers for the sides of all four potential matchups in the 2024 NCAA Tournament finals.

The betting shop has UConn (35-3 straight up, 26-12 against the spread) installed as a 5.5-point favorite at a -104 price vs. Purdue. Gamblers backing the Boilermakers at +5.5 are looking at a -118 price.

Dan Hurley’s team has compiled a 14-2 SU record and a 12-4 ATS mark in 16 games as a single-digit favorite this year, including Saturday’s 77-52 win over Illinois as an eight-point ‘chalk.’

Purdue (33-4 SU, 21-15-1 ATS) has been an underdog twice this season. Matt Painter’s squad beat Arizona 92-84 as a two-point underdog at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Dec. 16.

The Boilermakers also won a 77-71 decision at Illinois as 2.5-point road underdogs on March 5.

FanDuel has UConn listed as a 15.5-point favorite at a -105 price vs. North Carolina State. Bettors taking the Wolfpack at +15.5 would have a -115 price.

Kevin Keatts’s team has been a double-digit underdog three times, going 3-0 ATS with a pair of outright victories. NC St. beat 74-69 as an 11-point underdog in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals, and then it bested North Carolina 84-76 as a 10.5-point underdog in the finals.

When NC St. has been a ‘dog of seven points or more, it has posted a 7-0 ATS record with five outright wins.

The Huskies are 21-0 SU and 14-7 ATS as double-digit favorites this season.

FanDuel has Purdue listed as a 5.5-point favorite vs. Alabama. The Crimson Tide has struggled in the underdog role, limping to a 3-6 ATS mark with two outright wins.

The Boilermakers are 11-4 SU and 9-5-1 ATS in 15 games as single-digit ‘chalk.’

Purdue and Alabama squared off at Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto on Dec. 9. Nate Oats’s team had two separate double-digit leads in the first half and led 49-47 at the break.

However, Painter’s squad ended the game on a 17-10 run and won 92-86 as a 5.5-point favorite. The 178 combined points soared ‘over’ the 163.5-point total.

Zach Edey led the winners with 35 points and seven rebounds, making 12-of-20 field-goal attempts and all 11 of his free throws. Braden Smith was spectacular as well, finishing with 27 points, five rebounds and eight assists compared to only one turnover.

Mark Sears had 35 points in the losing effort. He drained 13-of-25 FGAs and 8-of-16 launches from 3-point range. Grant Nelson added 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

FanDuel has Alabama listed as a 4.5-point favorite vs. NC St. The Tide has a 13-3 SU record and a 9-5-1 ATS ledger in 16 games as a single-digit favorite.

Bettors with FanDuel accounts can wager on these potential games now. If the matchup doesn’t come to fruition, the bet is cancelled and becomes a ‘no-play.’

Would I bet any of these lines now? You damn right I would. I love UConn at -5.5 vs. Purdue!
