Dallas (32-30 straight up, 30-29-3 against the spread) nine-time All-Star guard Kyrie Irving is out for the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in Monday’s 122-98 loss vs. Sacramento as a two-point home underdog.

Irving’s injury is the latest in a rash of maladies impacting the Mavericks, who are in a 1-4 slump both SU and ATS. They’re currently missing Anthony Davis, P.J. Washington, Jaden Hardy, Caleb Martin, Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively due to various injuries.

Irving had played in 50 games this season, averaging 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He had hit 47.3 percent of his field-goal attempts, 40.1 percent of his 3-pointers and 91.6 percent of his free throws.

Since being acquired from the Lakers for franchise star Luka Doncic, Davis has only played in one game. He was outstanding, producing 26 points, 16 rebounds, three blocked shots and seven assists compared to only one turnover.

Although Davis led the Mavs to a 116-105 win vs. Houston as three-point home favorites, he sustained a left abductor strain. He’s going to be re-evaluated later this week before determining an exact timetable to return.

In 47 games this year, Washington was averaging 14.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocked shots per game. He’s hoping to return soon from a sprained ankle.

Hardy has scored at an 8.0 PPG clip in 46 contests, draining 38.4 percent of his hoists from downtown. Like Irving, Hardy went down last night. Although his injury isn’t season-ending, he’s probably going to miss an extended period of time.

Martin was acquired from Philadelphia before the trade deadline, but he’s yet to suit up for Dallas due to a hip issue. In 31 games for the 76ers, Martin averaged 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 SPG.

Gafford (12.3 PPG, 6.9 RPG, 1.9 BPG) is sidelined with an MCL sprain that’s expected to keep him out until late March. Lively (9.1 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 2.6 APG, 1.7 BPG) sustained a stress fracture in his right ankle in late January.

Dallas will return to the court Wednesday at Sacramento. The Westgate SuperBook had the Mavs with 60/1 odds to win the 2025 NBA Championship yesterday, but that number has been moved to 500/1.
