Golden State has had a worse start to the season than anyone could have imagined.
Sure, the Warriors lost Kevin Durant to Brooklyn and knew Klay Thompson would be out for the majority of the season. They still had All-Star Steph Curry and signed D’Angelo Russell along with extending Draymond Green.
Golden State had been to the NBA Finals in five consecutive seasons. The Warriors’ 2019-20 season win total was 47.5 games at Caesars Sportsbook.
Curry got hurt several games into the season, though, and now Golden State is 10-38. The Warriors have clinched the ‘under’ on their win total several weeks before the All-Star Break.
Several other notable things have happened in the NBA this week. One of them came in the Sacramento Kings’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.
Sacramento trailed Minnesota by 17 points with 2:49 left in regulation. According to ESPN Stats and Info, NBA teams were 0-8,378 in that situation since play-by-play data was first recorded in 1996-97.
The Kings stormed back to force overtime, eventually winning 133-129 in the extra period. Sacramento was 25/1 on the live line at William Hill entering the fourth quarter.
Zion Williamson made his debut against the San Antonio Spurs last Wednesday. He has now played four games since returning from a knee injury.
Williamson went ‘over’ his point total in his first three games, but he went ‘under’ for the first time in his career in Tuesday’s win against Cleveland. His posted total was 18.5, but he was only able to score 14 points in 29 minutes of action.
He is averaging 18.0 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game through his first four NBA contests. Williamson’s total for points in tonight’s home game vs. Memphis is 17.5 (‘over’ -134, ‘under’ +110) at DraftKings.
