Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira (13-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) has vacated his light heavyweight belt in hopes of moving up to heavyweight and becoming the first three-division champion in UFC history. He’ll most likely get that chance at the White House this summer against Jon ‘Bones’ Jones or Cyril Gane.

Jones said this weekend that he’s in negotiations with the promotion to compete on the White House card, confirming a report by MMA insider Ariel Helwani from earlier this weekend.

With UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall still struggling with his vision and unable to train, that contest would be for the interim heavyweight title.

BetOnline has Gane installed as a -185 ‘chalk’ vs. Pereira, who is a +160 underdog. The same betting shop has Jones as a -300 favorite vs. Pereira (+250).

As for the 205-pound loop, that vacated strap will be up for grabs in the UFC 327 headliner between Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg. This show will be held at Kaseya Center in Miami on April 11.

BetRivers opened Prochazka (32-5-1 MMA, 6-2 UFC) as a -143 favorite, leaving Ulberg as a +116 underdog.

The 33-year-old Prochazka has bagged eight fight-night bonuses during his eight-fight UFC tenure. He’s off back-to-back third-round knockout wins over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree.

In all six of Prochazka’s UFC wins, he’s finished his opponents, including a fifth-round submission win over Glover Teixeira to win the light heavyweight title with only 28 seconds remaining in a UFC 275 fight he was going to lose if it went to the judges’ scorecards. A few months after beating Teixeira, Prochazka relinquished the belt voluntarily due to a shoulder injury.

Prochazka was given a title shot upon his return, but he lost to Pereira by second-round KO. After a bounce-back win over Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 300, Prochazka was given another shot at Pereira, who beat him again by second-round KO at UFC 303.

Ulberg (13-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) is on a nine-fight winning streak since losing by second-round KO to Kennedy Nzechukwu in his Octagon debut. He’s off a first-round KO victory over Dominick Reyes at UFC Perth this past September.

In the UFC 327 co-main event, Josh Van (16-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC) will defend his flyweight strap for the first time against Tatsuro Taira. Van is on a six-fight winning streak and won the belt by TKO (arm injury) over Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 323 in December.

DraftKings has Taira (18-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) as a -192 favorite vs. Van, who is a +160 underdog.

This UFC 327 card is loaded. Other bouts include a featherweight banger between Nate ‘The Train’ Landwehr and Cub Swanson, a middleweight showdown between Kelvin Gastelum and Vicente Luque, a welterweight scrap between Kevin Hollan and Randy Brown, a light heavyweight matchup between Reyes and Johnny Walker and a heavyweight contest between Curtis Blaydes and Josh Hokit.
