According to reporting from ESPN Chalk’s Ben Fawkes, a William Hill bettor risked $1 million Saturday on Amanda Nunes as a -600 favorite in her UFC 250 main event scrap against Felicia Spencer.
Nunes dominated Spencer in a unanimous-decision victory, netting the gambler $166,666.70 of profit.
After hearing about the bet, Amanda Nunes said, “Now he’s very happy. He’ll probably, like, go and drink something. He should ask me to go with him.”
It was the biggest MMA bet William Hill had ever taken.
Nunes has won 11 consecutive fights after defending her featherweight strap for the first time since winning it from Cris Cyborg.
