Houston star guard Russell Westbrook might make his postseason debut in tonight’s critical Game 5 vs. Oklahoma City. The series is knotted at 2-2 going into the 6:30 p.m. Eastern tip Wednesday in Orlando.
Westbrook has been dealing with a quad injury that has prevented him from playing since Aug. 11. The nine-time All-Star out of UCLA had initially been ruled ‘out’ of Game 5, but he’s been upgraded to ‘questionable’ and will be a game-time decision.
Houston was favored by 3.5 points earlier today. Since this news broke shortly after noon Eastern, most betting shops have adjusted the Rockets to 4.5-point ‘chalk.’ The total remains at 225 points, while the Thunder are +165 on the money line.
The updated series price at DraftKings has Houston as a -210 favorite, leaving OKC as a +170 underdog.
In his first season with the Rockets since being traded from OKC to Houston, Westbrook has averaged 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
