GB’s Rodgers new MVP ‘chalk;’ Chiefs still SB favorites

Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers has an incredible 44/5 touchdown-to-interception ratio this season.

The NFL MVP odds have flipped going into the final week of the season.

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes was a -350 favorite heading into Week 16, but he had a lackluster showing against Atlanta. Mahomes threw for 278 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

He has now flipped to +250 to win the MVP. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been moving up the market over the last few weeks and is now the -400 favorite. Rodgers threw for 231 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in a win over Tennessee on Sunday night.

Mahomes has thrown for around 700 more yards, but Rodgers has six more touchdown passes and one less interception this season. Green Bay can clinch the top seed in the NFC with a win at Chicago on Sunday, while the Chiefs have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Kansas City is still the favorite to win the Super Bowl at +175. Green Bay has the second-shortest odds at +500, while New Orleans is +750 and Buffalo is 10/1.

Several divisional titles will be decided in Week 17. Tennessee and Indianapolis both lost this week, so the Titans have become -400 favorites in the AFC South. They simply need a win or an Indianapolis loss to clinch the division.

Tennessee is a 7.5-point road favorite in its game at Houston, while Indianapolis is a 14-point home favorite against Jacksonville. The Colts need a win and a Titans loss to cash their +300 AFC South odds.

The more intriguing division is the NFC East, where three teams are alive heading into the final week of the regular season. Washington has dropped to -105 after losing to Carolina. Dallas improved to +190 with its win over Philadelphia and the Giants fell to +300 after losing to Baltimore.

Washington would clinch the division with a win against Philadelphia. The Football Team is a 1.5-point favorite and -125 on the moneyline against the Eagles, who are eliminated from playoff contention.

Dallas is a 2.5-point favorite against New York. The Cowboys or Giants would win the division with a win and a Washington loss.
