DraftKings has released the spreads for all four potential matchups in the College Football Playoff finals on Jan. 9.
The book has Georgia (13-0 straight up, 7-6 against the spread) installed as a 7.5-point favorite vs. Michigan. These teams met in last year’s CFP semifinals, with Kirby Smart’s team coasting to a 34-11 win as a 7.5-point ‘chalk’ at the Orange Bowl. That defeat is the only one Jim Harbaugh’s team has taken in its last 19 games.
DraftKings has UGA listed as a 15.5-point favorite vs. TCU. These schools have met four times, with the Bulldogs winning all four meetings. They captured a 31-23 win over the Horned Frogs at the 2016 AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis.
Ohio St. is a 10.5-point favorite vs. TCU. The Buckeyes are 5-1-1 in seven all-time meetings against the Frogs, who lost a 40-28 decision to OSU in Arlington, TX., at Jerry World in 2018. However, they covered the spread as 12.5-point underdogs.
If an Ohio St.-Michigan rematch materializes, Ryan Day’s team is listed as a three-point favorite to avenge the 45-23 loss it took against the Wolverines in Columbus two weeks ago.
DraftKings has UGA listed as a -125 ‘chalk’ to win the CFP going into the semifinals. The Bulldogs are followed by Michigan (+290), Ohio St. (+360) and TCU (+1600 or 16/1).
