BetMGM gambler wins $51,175 on 12-team parlay

Fresno St. crushed UConn 45-0 as a 28-point home favorite in a Week Zero blowout.

Multi-sport parlays are still a relatively new concept in the sports betting world.

Sportsbooks used to limit crossover parlay options, but they are allowing more options as sports betting has expanded. One BetMGM bettor took advantage over the weekend, turning $150 into $51,175.

The 12-team parlay included soccer, college football and MLB action. It got started with seven soccer wagers, ranging from -145 to -600. Five of the seven soccer bets were on “both teams to score.”

Three of those five bets cashed in the first half, while the other two both cashed by the 65th minute. Bayern Munich, which was the heaviest leg of the parlay at -600, picked up a comfortable 5-0 win over Hertha Berlin.

The parlay then shifted to the English Premier League. Chelsea and Liverpool made the bettor sweat his or her ‘under’ 3.5 goals bet, scoring a pair of goals before halftime. Chelsea also picked up a red card in the first half, though, so it was able to park the bus in the second half.

Bettors around the country are excited about the start of college football—the BetMGM customer wagered on four ‘Week Zero’ games on Saturday. Illinois picked up the outright win over Nebraska, cashing as a 7-point underdog in the parlay.

Fresno State shut out Connecticut in a 45-0 final, easily covering as a 28-point favorite. It jumped out to a 31-0 lead by halftime before adding a pair of second-half touchdowns.

UCLA made life easy on the parlay bettor as well, taking a 24-3 lead over Hawaii at the end of the first quarter. The Bruins coasted to a 44-10 victory from there, covering in their role as 17.5-point favorites.

The trend of easy cashes continued when UTEP (-9.5) took a 17-0 lead over New Mexico State in the opening quarter. It was able to add to its lead in the third quarter and pick up the 30-3 win.

The twelfth and final leg of the parlay was San Francisco at -115 against Atlanta in some MLB action. It was a different sport, but it followed the same trend. The Giants took an early lead and notched a relatively sweat-free victory, winding up with a 5-0 win.

It is difficult enough to win a 12-team parlay, but it is even more remarkable to do it in comfortable fashion.
