Sportingbet Reaches Resolution with State of Louisiana...By MajorWager.com

LONDON, March 21 (Reuters) - British online gaming company Sportingbet Plc (SBT.L: Quote, Profile , Research) said on Wednesday it had reached a resolution with the St Landry District Attorney in the State of Louisiana. "All related warrants issued by the Louisiana State Police have been cancelled with immediate effect," Sportingbet said in a statement, adding both it and the St Landry District Attorney now consider the matter closed.

Last September, Peter Dicks, then Sportingbet's chairman, was arrested in New York at the request of Louisiana whose warrant charged him with "gambling by computer". Dicks's arrest came before online gambling was banned in the United States.
