Default Beginner stock question

Ok, I am just now really getting into stock. No actual buying or trading yet, just lots of book reading, homework, and mixing in some MSNBC when I get the chance.

There were a number of stocks I had decided to keep track of. One of these was Celgene (CELG). My yahoo finance page will show me an overview of the last stocks I've looked at. When I looked today, it says Celgene is down 99.62% and now at 20 cents a share! They were just at 52.91 yesterday, and today I read they got approval for their new drug Revlimid. I checked with other sites, and some places say 20 cents while others still say the higher 52-53 dollar number. What is the price of the stock right now, why am I seeing 20 cents? Does this have something to do with them having to stop trading on the stock before the news is announced?

OK, the stock quote says 54.77 now. So the only question I still have is why did it say 20 cents earlier in the day?

Celgene Corp (NASDAQ: CELG) is currently at 54.77
The lower quote must have been a mistake.
If one is new to stocks or stock investing, would suggest reading the
"Education" section at
This is a great primer. Also, would use their "WatchList" to track stocks.
Has several good features.

and mixing in some MSNBC
Might want to try CNBC instead, you might get a little more stock info than on MSNBC :beer
