Default Stock "services"

Anyone use "services" when they trade?

With sports, i bet on my own, and I use a service for picks as well as information to help my own picks. But with stocks, I've been trading on my own now for a few years. I'm not as active a trader as i'd like to be, and I'm considering trying a service.... one that's been recommended to me is www.gorillatrades.com, and I've been getting emails from the guy for years, but never really tried him. Thinking of trying it for one month free trial, but I don't have the comfort level in checking out his credibilty

As an example, if I were to consider a sports service, I'd feel pretty comfortable at my stage reading through the muck to find a few I might consider, as i've been on these chatrooms forever, and have an idea how the game is played with the cons behind some of these set ups. Also, I know how many sports services truly are a waste of dough-- I'm confident enough in my own info that it took awhile to find someone I'd actually pay a little on the side to for value added.. but with stocks, I'm a bit more blind

Any suggestions/referrals are mucho appreciated

Cobra,

I hope someone has a good service for you. I have never used one myself but having been around this industry I can tell you there are more scammers in the stock market than sports services. The havoc
they wreck is alot more harmful IMO because people think they are investing their life savings and they are just following bad advice.

Go into it with the attitude that there are more scammers in market and you should be able to find something to your liking that somebody refers. Also dont give out credit card # for any free trial. It will show up on your card reguardless of if you want it to in most cases.

Just be careful and use that same judgement you use in sports to pick a stock service.

Stev-o

Thanks for the advice-- I've been around long enough that I'm pretty hip to what's going on, so no worries. FWIW I use buzkils service, and I've known him since we were both posters on talksport some years back. I've had a nice run with him.... he's an upstanding guy. I also like his service and his part of the radio show he's signed onto, as it helps me with my own capping. The guy knows his chit

My thought process is more finding a decent stock board, and keeping my eyes out for someone. For example, I've been cribbing the bases forum this season, and I've been following Mr Jones' picks. I noticed the major welcomed him, and I also went back through some of his threads over at RX to get a feel for his background. I've been very impressed thus far with his results, and may step up the ante a bit when I get back to the states. Since I'm in Japan right now, it's pressing for me to really shop lines-- the time difference is tough. Can't say I'm ready to cap bases myself~~ Love college footbally よろしくおねがいしませ
