DOW +162.29

Reuters
European stocks dipped on Thursday as disappointing earnings from U.S. tech heavyweights
Google and IBM dampened the previous session's upbeat tone on Wall Street, and the dollar
weakened on dovish remarks from the Federal Reserve.

"Interest rates will likely stay at current levels "for a considerable time after
asset purchase program ends"
.....Janet Yellen
It was exactly what the room (Economic Club of New York) wanted to hear
and the rest of Wall Street too.

Going to do something a little different, currently DOW Future Indicators
are -41.0, so at 9:15, if the Future Indicator is -30.00 or greater,
would go with DOWN on Thursday, if under -30.00, would go with UP.
Guess the Idea is really to see which way the Initial Claims numbers
sent the Futures. If the Market starts rallying, that would be positive.
If it starts falling, that would be negative.

Premarket Stock Trading - CNNMoney

We'll see how that works.
Been a pretty topsy-turvey Market of late with Big Moves.

We're heading into the heart of the earnings season this week.

DOW +65.12

(Reuters)
U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday as a host of solid earnings reports,
along with strength in the healthcare sector, helped lift the S&P 500
and Nasdaq to their sixth straight advance.

(CNNMoney)
The tech sector is top of mind among investors Wednesday as Wall Street
awaits earnings from Apple and Facebook.
They are just a couple of the big names reporting on a busy day for quarterly results.
Boeing (BA), Dow Chemical (DOW) and Procter & Gamble (PG) are due before
the opening bell. Apple (AAPL), Facebook (FB) Zynga (ZNGA) are reporting after the close,
along with consumer-focused companies Crocs (CROX) and Cheesecake Factory (CAKE).

Looks like a little more resistence for the Bulls due to the less than expected
numbers from China's factories.
Still, going to take a chance that US Big names check in with better than
expected earnings. Just speculation.

(AP) — Lackluster economic data out of China and the U.S. offset a string of positive
developments in Europe to keep a lid on global stock markets on Wednesday following
a strong run...

SHANGHAI—For years, Chinese property has been a sure bet for savvy investors
looking to ride the country's economic surge.
Now, some of the best-known names in Chinese investing are cutting back,
at least for the present.
The move to sell real-estate projects "is looking like a really smart call right now,"
said Colin Bogar, managing director of real-estate private-equity firm MGI Pacific
The Chinese property market appears to be softening along with the rest of the country's economy.
Developers are cutting residential prices in small cities as economists warn of overcapacity.
Many property companies are also facing tightening credit, lower returns, slower demand for
homes and intensifying competition amid a deepening supply glut.

April has been a tough month for investors, with the Nasdaq taking a sharp dive and the other major

Earnings continue to dominate the agenda, with Sprint (S) reporting before the opening bell.

The housing market appears to be hurting. Last week we learned that sales of new homes
plunged 14.5% in March compared to February, while sales of existing homes fell slightly
month-to-month, too.
Meanwhile, demand for home loans have hit a 14-year low in the first quarter, according to industry
newsletter Inside Mortgage Finance.

But today the National Association of Realtors reported that pending home sales in March rose for the
first time in nine months. They were up 3.4% from February, but down 7.9% from a year ago.

Fed tapers by another $10B as markets shrug..
(I was flat out wrong on that one )

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday looked past a dismal reading on first quarter U.S. growth
and gave a mostly upbeat assessment of the economy's prospects as it announced another
cut in its massive bond-buying stimulus. The Fed said it would reduce its monthly bond purchases
to $45 billion from $55 billion, a widely expected decision.

Perhaps the prudent thing to do in light of the numerous economic

DOW +17.76

Dow reverses triple-digit loss, ends higher on Monday.

(CNNMoney)
If stock markets climb today -- and it looks like they might --
this will be the eighth consecutive positive Tuesday.
Investors seem to be consistently upbeat on Tuesdays and U.S. stock futures were
moving higher ahead of the opening bell, though the gains were small.
The S&P 500 has returned around 9% year-to-date on Tuesdays, posting gains that
day every week except two in 2014.
However, investors are skeptical about pushing stocks too high. The CNNMoney Fear
and Greed index shows investors are still feeling fearful, just days after the Dow Jones
industrial average hit an all-time high.

Economists at Nomura have made their call: China's property bubble has burst, they say,
and the country's economy could slow dramatically unless Beijing steps in with new stimulus measures.
"It is no longer a question of 'if' but rather 'how severe' the property market
correction will be," three of the bank's analysts say in a new report.
"We are convinced that the property sector has passed a turning point."

Beware the Russia risk!
Growing tensions with Russia could hit growth in Europe this year and next,
warned the European Commission in its latest outlook.

"Should further rising tensions with Russia lead to major disruptions in oil

of Member states could be sizeable," the Commission said

Einhorn Finds Dinner Chat With Bernanke ‘Frightening’

Bernanke apparently is 100 percent certain there would be no hyperinflation
and that it generally occurs after a war."

With a 17.5 Trillions Dollar Debt and 129 Trillion in Unfunded Liabilities worth of Debt,
it's hard to see how hyperinflation would avoided once interest rates cycle to their Highs.

The Federal Debt increase by 1 Million Dollars every 2 minutes and 43 seconds.
Unfunded Liablities increase 1 Million Dollars every 11.6 seconds.

Right Now:
Federal Debt is $151,229 per Tax Payer and $55,074 per Citizen.
Unfunded Liabilities are $1,114,024 Per Tax Payer and $405,704 per Citizen.

A person making $10 an hour, 52 weeks a year, 47 years (18 to 65) = $977,600

5% interest rates will cause $900 billion interest costs.

"if interest rates were to “normalize” and increase by 100 basis points annually over the next five years,
the federal interest expense would increase from $360 billion last year to $1.51 trillion."

Can the United States continue to pretty much loan itself money?
That's basically what's happening when the Fed buys 90% US Treasuries.
How long will the Currency and Treasury Markets accept this with serious ramifications?
The Majority of the 1 Quadrillion in Derivatives are interest rate based.
So, the real problems will come with high interest rates.
Time will tell.

DOW +32.37

(CNNMoney)
The bulls capped off a seesaw week on Wall Street by carrying the Dow
to a new all-time record on Friday.
The Dow's close of 16,583.3 narrowly topped a prior record set on
April 30 of 16,580.8.
While the Dow eked out a win for the week, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq lost ground.

Major world markets and U.S. stock futures were all moving up ahead of the opening bell,
shrugging off Sunday's vote in a region of eastern Ukraine showing an overwhelming majority
in favor of independence. Ukraine and several Western countries have condemned the referendum,
organized by pro-Russian separatists.

Terrible Two Indicator

The U.S. stock market is facing a rather unique situation that it has only seen twice in nearly four decades,
and both instances have preceded major sell-offs.
Specifically, only twice in the past 35 years has the NYSE Composite Index been at all-time highs
as the small-cap Russell 2000 Index fell below its 200-day simple moving average.
That is exactly what we are looking at now.
The ‘Terrible Two’ indicator as the NYSE Composite is hitting record highs
just as the Russell 2000 surrenders a closely-watched trend line.
This scenario took place in 1999 and 2007,
before U.S. stocks went on to experience sharp bear market

Geneva (AFP) - Alcohol kills 3.3 million people worldwide each year,
more than AIDS, tuberculosis and violence combined, the World Health Organization said Monday,
warning that booze consumption was on the rise.

Including drunk driving, alcohol-induced violence and abuse, and a multitude of diseases
and disorders, alcohol causes one in 20 deaths globally every year, the UN health agency said.

"This actually translates into one death every 10 seconds," Shekhar Saxena,
who heads the WHO's Mental Health and Substance Abuse department, told reporters in Geneva.
