BG,

Not much good news headed into Fridayīs Trading.
Futures currently negative at -88.0 and dropping.

Late Thursday, Moody's Investors Service downgraded on the two biggest bond insurers --
MBIA Inc. and Ambac Financial Group Inc. -- from "AAA" amid ongoing concerns about their financial health.

Thereīs a weekend meeting in Saudi Arabia on oil production.

Citigroup Inc.'s chief financial officer warned Thursday about more significant write-downs at
the U.S. bank with the most assets, Washington Mutual Inc. announced it was cutting 1,200 jobs nationwide,
mostly in California and Florida.

Going with DOWN on Friday,

Cincinnati(Volquez) at New York Yankees(Mussina):

Edinson Volquez is having a tremendous season.
Iīve been just waiting for his turn in the Rotation to bet on him.
However heīs had some tough match ups lately. Boston last game
and the Reds have been in the middle of a big hitting slump.
Which means that heīs less likely to get good hitting support
and consequently the odds of him winning lessen.

Reds ranked 27th in Hitting with a meager .247 team batting average.
Reds ranked 30th(last) the Last 7 games with a .196 average.
Reds hitting .162 vs. Righties their L10 games. Ouch.

L7:

Votto...............318
Encarnacion......286
Cabreara...........273
Phillips.............227
Ross................200
Dunn................158
Griffey..............154
Bruce...............150
Patterson..........077

In 15 Starts, he as 11 Quality Starts (Meaning heīs allowed 3 Earned Runs or less for 6.0 innings).
In 15 Starts, he as only allowed more than 2 runs 1 time!.

0 runs.....4 times
1 run.......7 times
2 runs.....3 times
3 runs.....1 time
+4 runs....none.

This is outstanding pitching and he maybe considered the best Starting Pitcher in Baseball so far this season.
Definitely a Cy Young Contender.
Can you think of any pitchers that have pitched this well so far?

Today he now visits Yankee Stadium for the first time. It can be an intimadation place to play for anyone,
but particualarly for younger players.
In addition, the Yankees have a host of excellent hitters. Some of them on a tear.

New York Yankees ranked 4th in Hitting with .273 Season Average.
New York Yankees ranked 2nd the last 7 Games with .294 Average.

Posada......545 (only 11 ABīs)
Rodriguez.....524
Damon.........440
Cano............316
Matsui..........294
Jeter.............269
Giambi..........263
Cabrera.........136
Abreu............095

Veteran Pitcher Mike Mussina has been a little shakey earlier in the season but seems to have found his form
having 4 Quality Starts in a row. Reds slumping bats should make his job a bit easier.

Molina has gone 1 for 2 vs. Vasquez, other than that no Yankee hitter have ever faced him in the Majors.
Generally, when this favors the Pitcher.
If Mussina continues to pitch well, he should hold the Reds in Check.

Have a reasonable chance here with the Under 9 runs Total is the Play here.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Florida(Hendrickson) at Oakland(Harden):

Somewhat of a Pitching Mismatch.

Hendrickson has been struggling of late.
12 Erīs his last 13.1 innings with .409% OBP this L3 Starts.
2-3 with 5.98 Era(27 Erīs in 40.2 innings) Away
Heīs given up 4 Erīs or more 5 of his last 7 Starts.

Harden is having a pretty good seasonĻ

Team 7-2 in his Starts
2.53 Era(15 Erīs in 53.1 innings) with 1.18 WHIP(Walk+Hits/Innings Pitched) Overall

2.41 Era(5 Erīs in 18.2 innings) his Last 3 Starts
2.21 Era(9 Erīs in 36.1 innings) with 1.07 WHIP At Home

At Night:

Hendrickson 5.06 Era
Harden 1.63 Era

Flordia hitting just .230 vs. Righties their L10

Both Bull Pens having good season so far.

Price around -190 to -200 for obvious reasons,
would use Oakland in a Parlay.

Oil gained in volatile trading Monday as escalating tensions between Israel and Iran stoked supply concerns and as Saudi Arabia's promise to pump more oil if needed failed to win over a skeptical market.

BG,

-.33, weīll take it.

NEW YORK (AP) -- "U.S. stocks headed for a lower opening Tuesday, as investors winced at rising oil prices and a UPS Inc.
profit warning ahead of the Federal Reserve's rate-setting meeting.

Energy prices show few signs of waning, leading to worries on Wall Street that high fuel costs will prevent the economy
from growing and aggravate inflation at the same time.

With the economy weak and price pressures rising, the central bank is in a tough spot."

The Fed is widely expected to keep the fed funds rate unchanged at 2.00%.

Economic Reports:
Consumer Confidence 10:00am(Eastern)...expected to fall to 56
Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller national home price index for April

Futures currently -55.0

There are 29 states, including California, Florida and Ohio, facing a combined budget shortfall of at least $48 billion
in the fiscal year that starts July 1, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP).

Not much good news today either,
going with DOWN on Tuesday.
