Default MO

We all know about the tobacco lawsuits. The Government trial is going on right now. I feel that MO is the best run company in the world. They are a cash cow.

I feel that the tobbacco companies when it is all said and done will win the big lawsuits. Their is a case in Florida (Engle) which the jury came back with a huge reward. It was a class action case. The case was decertified. Engle filed an appeal and the Florida Supreme court ruled that they will listen to each side for ONLY 20 minutes. This will take place in November. The Florida Supreme court will rule in the favor of the tobacco companies. I do not have any doubt.

Either this case or one of the other two big cases presently going on (Illinois or California cases) will get to the Supreme court and the tobacco companies will win. When they win all of these lawsuits will go away. Know lawyer will take a case on a contingency basis.

After the Supreme court rules for the tobbaco companies you will see MO triple in price.

My biggest holding is in MO. I have owned MO for over 20 years and they pay a great dividend.

GOOD LUCK.

One other thing about MO. When bad news comes out buy on dips. A verdict that comes back for the plaintiff is great. You will be able to buy more shares and you will get more in dividends.

GOOD LUCK

The United States Supreme court ruled in favor of MO relating to a case in california. MO is appealing the amount of the verdict among other things and the court ruled that MO does not have to give the plaintiff any money until the appeal is heard.

As I wrote before the Supreme Court will rule in favor of the tobacco companies and when one of the big ones is ruled in their favor tobacco stocks will go through the roof and leading the way will be MO.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

Mo closed today at $57.42. It is up $10.00 since I started this thread. I would still buy this company now and then dollar cost average if it drops. The Government is not going to win their case based on they are using the RICO law. The RICO law does not apply to their case and it is going to either get thrown out now or if the tobacco companies lose they will win on appeal. 2005 is going to be a very big year for the tobacco companies and now is the time to get in. Before you know it MO is going to be $150.00.

2005 is going to be a big year where some very big cases are going to be ruled on in the Florida & Illinios Supreme court. Their is also a case in California that is very big but I am not sure when the decision is going to come down. One of these cases is going to be heard in the United States Supreme court (I will be their) and once the tobacco companies win these lawsuits will come to an end. Mo is paying a great dividend and the reward at the end of the tunnel is going to be fantastic.

Get in this one guys. You will see it go up and down so buy it every month. You will not regret it.

Demax,

Sorry for net getting back to you sooner.
Noted that MO has fallen just below it's 5 Day moving average, which is no big deal As long as the stock remains
above it's 20 day moving average, it should retain it's recent bullish bais.
Noted in my "Pick The Dow" comments today, the DOW sold off last Friday on the highest volume in a year.
So I'm expect the DOW is near a short term top.
MO has had and excellent run from $46 in late November to a high of $60.99
Up +28% since being placed on our www.clearstation.com Stock Talk WatchList.
I'd consider placing a stop loss just under $59 and look to re-enter as the stock rebounds off lower levels.
We'll continue to follow this one. Will also be looking over the Options.
Your pick has done very well. Good job.
Think that visiting the Supreme Court would be a lot of fun.

take care and have the happiest of Holidays,

Baz,

I do not have any doubt that the stock will go down when another jury comes back with a verdict against the tobacco companies and that will be a time to buy. But in the long run this is going to fly. I always buy this stock on dips. The dividend is great.

2005 is going to be a great year for MO IMO if the higher courts make their rulings as they stated they will be doing!!!!! I hope you and your family have a great holiday and stay safe

Dexmax,

You hit the nail on the head with this one.
Up +34.0% since being listed at www.clearstation.com Stock Talk Watch List.
May see a little bit of a pull back after such strong gains.
Expect to see new highs though.

gl,

Baz,

I consider MO the best run company in the world. 2005 is going to be a great year for the tobacco companies. I would not mind seeing a pull back so my dividends and the money I send in each month can by more shares.

I predict this stock will hit at least $100.00 if the courts announce their rulings this year as they have said they would.

I expect the Judge to rule against the tobacco companies in the governments case. Even though the law clearly is in favor of the tobacco companies the judge will rule in favor of the Government because she has ruled in their favor in almost every pre trial motion. This case should not even have gotten to trial. Expect a pull back and then the stock price will slowly go back up and when the decision gets over turned the stock will explode.

If their is a miracle and she rules in favor of the tobacco companies MO will explode. I would expect at least a 20% jump in the stock price. This is why I keep writing to buy this stock and get the dividends to buy more stock. In the long run you will be very happy.

Again, I expect it to explode sometime this year depending on when a couple of other court decisions come out.

I have faithfully been buying this stock since 1999. Never a doubt in my mind that this company would survive despite the crazy lawsuits.

Currently have just under 1000 shares and my basis is in the low 30's.

Not to mention those sweet dividends.

It has been a year since I started this thread and today was a day that I have been waiting for. Say goodbye to the Illinois case. It will be appealed to the United States Supreme court but I do not even think they will hear the case. If they do they will not overturn the Illinois Supreme Court.

Their are about 25 other lawsuits that have to do with "light" cigarrettes. Say goodbye to those lawsuits.

The Engle case in the Florida Supreme court is next. Hopefully that decision will come down in the next couple of weeks to make 2005 a banner year for MO.

I still have a buy on MO. Buy on dips.
