| I'm bullish on Vertex (VRTX) buying 100 shares at 25.25 Their lead drug candidate looks pretty promising. New data came out that seems fantastic at least on the surface. It did have a run-up about a month ago, based on some positive results with this drug and their cystic fibrosis program, but it is still well off its all-time high of around 40. Still think it has a while to run. Plan to hold at least 2 years Quote:

Mylan is flat the last 10 years and down about 50% from its peak 5 years ago not exactly the greatest of investments |

| Hi guys - new to this forum. You seem to like big pharma - don't forget about Glaxosmith Kline GSK. Nice juicy dividend of about 5% and it's ADAR price has been floating in the low 40's the last few months. Decent future pipeline, and has nice international exposure (relating to Buffet's currency comments above). Not a bad park for your money until things break. |

Going to be a lot of shakeup in the next few years, but i see the future a little rosier than most I guess |

| I agree. My problem is I don't have the time anymore to research these companies and their pipelines. I just try to stick with the big ones and their dividends, although I'm thinking of picking up some exposure to a biotech fund. I also like a restaurant called Buffalo Wild WIngs (BWLD). It popped about a month ago to around 35 but it's got a lot of room to grow. A far cry from big pharma, though! |

| Adding SINA, Chinese internet media company has outperformed expectations, in a good growth market, and now is a good time to buy ahead of the Beijing olympics. Jumped on earnings last week, but down over 10% since, so i will use this as an excuse to buy 100 shares of SINA @ 50.20 current portfolio MRK, 100 shares, $3766 - current value $3874, +2.9% VRTX, 100 shares, $2525 - current value $2638, +4.5% SINA, 100 shares, $5020 overall return since 4/24: +3.5% S&P 500 (1388.82 on 4/24): -0.9% |
