I do not know,
but I do know that company B's profits this year got a huge boost from the weak dollar.

Think it would depend on how Company B (Coke) purchased Company A (AMWS).
They could just purchase the stock of the company outright and take over Controling interest.
Or they could merge by offering Company A (AMWS) shareholders shares of Company B (Coke).
Which would have to be approved by Company A(AMWS) Shareholders and or Board (depending on
company guidelines) and assuming that Company B (Coke) Shareholders and or Board approved.

To answer your question, it would depend on the perceptions of whether or not traders
felt the deal was overvalued or undervalued.

thanks for visiting Stock Talk,

Thanks Baz for the reply.

Not sure what else to do with this stock. I have some information that Coke will buy AMWS in the next couple weeks, but really don't know any of the terms as of yet.

Thanks again,
alm

alm,

I thought that your question was hypothetical.
If Coke is interested in AMWS, it would be a good idea to hang on to it.
Generally, in this situation would expect stock to rise. Taking a closer look at
AMWS see that it once traded around $7.50 and then took a dive trading
as low as 12 cents. However, since hoovering around 25 cents last March,
it's gone on a run taking it as high as $2.40. Currently at $1.90
Would suggest a stock loss order around $1.50 to $1.25 depending how
how conservative you'd like to play.
If Coke is really interested in this company, and they may very well may be,
AMWS could continue it's upward run.

good luck,

baz
