Default AC Milan again

Well I'm not biting on Juve again unless the price goes higher, but I just backed Milan at 1.84 tomorrow. I think they could have won the away leg last week, Shevchenko was rather unsteady in front of goal, so 82.5 or better looks OK here.

As mentioned in last week's writeup, Lyon domestically are actually much better away that at their own ground, but in Italy Milan are a stunning fourteen wins and a draw from fifteen with 41 goals and 11 conceded. Lyon are quality, but again, this'll be their first trip away to a top class side with something on the line all year. If the manager was Le Guen, I'd be less sure, but Houllier will do us proud and put in the wrong game plan right on cue.

What stops this from being a jumbo-sized bet is Milan's crap-arsed performance in the away loss to Lecce at the weekend. Lyon did the business themselves. Winning does breed winning. Had Milan won easily at Lecce, or won at all, I'd be hitting this with both fists, yet then again, had they won at Lecce this one rates to be firmly three-quarter ball.

AC Milan at -175 to advance is an absoute steal and will be my biggest bet by far this year. Teams like Lyon just don't come into the San Siro and win, especially at this late stage of the tourney. If they get a goal early then it's over

The win at PSV wasn't with something on the line and against a top class side? Sure, the draw at the Bernabeu was with nothing on the line, but very few people win away at PSV and Lyon did the deed there. I agree that Milan should be the fave here, however the 0-0 in the first leg means they have to win to advance. -175 is not that much of a steal, you're probably better off taking Milan to win -0.5 -120 or thereabouts and combining that with a play on 0-0 draw and you should come out with a much better price.

Coupet is the best goalie in the world as far as I am concerned and it will be tough to break down that Lyon defense. This one goes 1-1 or 2-1 Milan, either way, it's gonna be really close. Pass for me.

Well, it took a video game goal in the 88th minute, but we ran off winners, Vega!

Man, forget bocce, italians should take up horseshoes as the national sport. First Juve against Werder, not this. Gonna be an interesting one to watch in the semis against Milan.

Milan looked incapable of comleting a midfield pass once they took off Pirlo. Lyon very very very unlucky here not to be in the semis.

Barcelona will destroy AC Milan tonite at the Nou Camp in the 2nd Leg of the Champions League Semi-Final.

We gave out Villarreal last nite on the Asian Handicap at Level Ball and were unlucky not to pick up from that , still we got our stake back which is all going on Barcelona to win.
