If and only if they organise the KO times.

The one three or four years ago was a complete farce. KO times not finalised until a few hours beforehand, and then sometimes moved anyway. Sometimes matches got put back a day late on. Broadcaster was showing games it claimed to be 'live' when we knew they were over. Parade of angry customer phone calls. Any goodwill we hoped to garner from offering this tournament evapourated more quickly than Alex Ferguson's smile at a press conference. I think we were still fielding customer queries by the time the next tournament started.

Scared us off the last one, or however many there have been since then. No idea if it was any better.

Anybody know?

OK.

Thx, Shawn.

I had no idea about the bullshit. Are they that behind the times in Africa? I guess so.

I just can't believe they'd pull that shit. Egypt is that disorganized?

I've been there three times over the last 18 months. It's not exactly Switzerland.

This one should be better run. TV contract with FOM, Egypt a class above Tunisia as far as infrastructure is concerned. I hear the hookers union is very organized, already figured out the location of the teams and working out the stalking the teams pregame ritual.

I'll take a stab at futures and some odds once they play a few friendlies and rosters are finalized (like that's ever gonna happen )

Essien out of African Nations Cup

Ghana suffered a huge blow to their hopes of lifting the African Nations Cup when star midfielder Michael Essien was ruled out by his club manager Chelsea's Jose Mourinho on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old suffered an injured ankle in Monday's 3-1 Premiership victory over West Ham and Mourinho said that it was no point in the former Lyon ace travelling to Egypt for the African showpiece which gets underway in Egypt on January 20 and runs till February 10.

" Essien I think is not going," Mourinho told Chelsea's website after a scan showed up the damage."To have treatment, it is better to stay with Chelsea. He would be going (to Egypt) for nothing."

Essien had to go off early during the match after being tackled by Nigel Reo-Coker but despite Mourinho railing against the challenge the Football Association refused to take any action.

Essien's injury is the second blow to hit Ghana in days after Udinese midfielder Sulley Muntari, was ruled out for at least a month with an ankle injury.

Well, that's posted now. Taking you guys at your word. Let's see if I get my P45 over it this time.

"Recreational Limits", thanks.

By the way, I love Blackburn this weekend. Bolton decimated by this tournament.

Wish I'd known earlier, was hoping to bet something just to make the game more interesting.

Got some Cameroon -135 for the second game... Looking to unload on Togo, I just can't understand the move against them. True, they lost that 1-0 friendly to Guinea in Paris but that was without Adebayor, he's the guy that makes the side tick.

Adebayor is playing?

You're looking to offload that bet, not that confident on Cameroon delivering the goods?

What about other angles like over/under, etc.?
