| Arsenal v West Brom - My prices 1.28 6.25 17.00, Betfair 1.26 6.20 21.0 Arsenal's pre-season hasn't been great and they're missing players, not sure West Brom have brought enough quality in to avoid a relegation fight. I said to my boing boinging colleague when the fixtures came out that Arsenal would inevitably do them 2-1 late on, but I couldn't have a bet in the match. Aston Villa v Man City - My prices 2.00 3.40 4.75, Betfair 1.91 3.40 5.20 Not sure Villa will be as successful this season as they were last, City are in turmoil they were fucking woeful last night against the midgets and have nothing up front apart from Bojinov who is half fit. They've still got an excellent defence (on paper at least) and a midfield that can cause problems. This will steam for Villa I am almost sure, when it goes too far I will want to be on the other way. No bet at present. Bolton v Stoke - My prices 1.90 3.60 5.00, Betfair 1.90 3.50 5.10 Both teams are rancid, I have no interest in backing Bolton at odds on against anyone in the Prem as it stands and 4/1 Stoke represents their level. No Bet. Chelsea v Portsmouth - My prices 1.30 5.75 17.0, Betfair 1.35 5.10 14.0 Not a fan of getting involved at short prices, Chelsea the masters of sneaking wins, Portsmouth a top 6 side in the making, if I had to have a dig it would be Chelsea by a goal. Everton v Blackburn THE BIG ONE - My prices 2.30 3.40 3.65, Betfair 2.08 3.45 4.20. A tricky one to call. The Everton side that will line up, if played in every league game this season, would finish anywhere from 12th to 15th. The boss is unhappy, the team is under the cosh already, the fans have got steam coming out of their ears. Don't worry about Rodwell appearing on the teamsheet, he is fucking mustard (17yo but a big, physical lad already), but there is little on the bench. Jose Baxter (16yo) will come on if we're struggling, he might come on late on anyway to blood him, again he will be brilliant. There's nothing else there though and the people are angry. I have heard all sorts of things about Blackburn though and have backed them to go down. Paul ince hasn't done anything to justify a premiership job, he's brought archie knox in as coach (he was walter smith's 'bad cop' at everton, apparently used to walk round with a baseball bat in training growling), and they are close to falling apart. My prices are based on us being bad and are hopefully an over-exaggeration. Hull v Fulham - My prices 2.70 3.50 2.90, Betfair 2.78 3.45 2.84 Can't have a bet. I think 'they' will come for fulham, but it's not a game for me. Man Utd v Newcastle - My prices 1.30 5.75 17.0, Betfair 1.33 5.50 14.5 United missing the fat lad and ronaldo, but newcastle under keegan an accident waiting to happen. If anything, overs, but nothing for me. Middlesbrough v Tottenham - My prices 3.20 3.45 2.50, Betfair 3.50 3.40 2.36 Got the potential to be a bet this, I couldn't give a monkeys about how good spurs have been pre-season and what they're going to do, etc, etc, boro are potentially top half and always strong at home. I couldn't put anyone impatient enough not to wait off the 3.50, i'm hanging on like the lemon i am for 3.75. Sunderland v Liverpool - fuck the prices, head says they ain't very good, instinct says they'll sponk it with a whole host of fortune from the ref. away win. West Ham v Wigan - My prices 2.00 3.60 4.50, Betfair 2.04 3.55 4.30 - nothing there at all. Feedback appreciated, and my regards to all the old timers! Parkendhead
