Cool site.

I was in NZ in 98 and bet Sapio stepping up from a win. He had beaten the entire field previously, but was given a lot more weight so was a juicy 5-1. I bet him anyway and now I know a bit more about the jock who steered him home to an easy victory that day that paid for my trip.

Steve,

I LOVED NZ. Even more than Australia and I LOVE Australia.

Had a grand time on the Corramandel (sp?) and ended up at Lake Taupo which was idlyllic. Really enjoyed the people, the unspoiled beauty, etc.

Can see myself retiring in NZ...with a satellite dish, of course, so I can watch the races.

(by the way, my favorite horse racing moment was betting Jezabel @ 16-1 to win the Cup. When her sister ran second, I nailed the forecast and had a huge day. Can still hear the stretch call in my head! So Thrilling!)
