Default Is anyone interested in consistently posting picks?

I did this before, and we had a decent amount of interest. It seems now that there are even more people posting their picks than before.

So if people are interested, I would again be willing to keep track of imaginary bankrolls again. I have more spare time now that I have seriously reduced my time at the racetrack. But as before, if the great handicappers here wouldn't mind posting their astute picks for us, that would be great for all of us. My betehorse deposits have gone nowhere, and with some help, and more discipline on my part, perhaps I can request my first ever withdrawal there.

I will start keeping track of picks Thursday, if there is enough interest.

We can all work on the groundrules to go by, so that it is also some kind of contest to see who the top handicappers are here.

I suggest that each participant be allowed a maximum bankroll of $100 each day. Each participant must wager at least $300 a week. I know that there are some weekend handicappers only, and I also want them to be able to participate.

All wagers are accepted except for pick3's, pick 6's, etc..., and superfectas. The reason for this is that betehorse and other places don't take wagers on these, so let us exclude them. The purpose of this is to allow us to see who the best cappers are, and perhaps even follow their selections, which is the reason that I kept the daily bankroll to a maximum of $100.

So, if anyone is interested, please reply in this thread. If we have enough interest, I would like to get this started by Thursday. Thanks guys.

Gradysfalcon,

Yes, the last time I did this, we had quite a few succesful handicappers. I noticed even more posters posting their picks recently, and perhaps we can narrrow down our picks to our best bets, and see if we can all be in the black. I am sure that we will see some nice picks.

Hopefully, your horses are doing great. I know that you send some horses down here to Woodbine/Mohawk. The last one I remember was ? Lavra Hoiti N I believe. She came up a little flat, but hopefully she has regained her form there in California. The purses here are great, I remember you sayng you were thinking of claiming a horse down here. Did you ever get around to doing that?

Glad to see you are interested again. Being a horse owner, and player, I am sure that you will again bring some great selections for us to take advantage of.

Now if we can only get the other participants from before to participate again. So come on beast, alysheba, holy bull, turkoman, and the others who capped before. The actuary, jjgold, pick6, and others, please feel free to join in on the fun.

Cerb, I pretty much geared down back into weekend warrior mode, probably till GP opens, so if you just want to make it a weekend thing, I'll contribute.

cerberus,

I normally only play pick 6's and pick 4's. If you end up getting enough people to try it, I guess I could just pick the best value horse in my races and play him.

pick6,

The only reason I am not including the picks, and superfectas, is because I want people to be able to follow and play these picks if they so desired. I am sure that we have some great cappers here who will show a profit. The last time I did this, I believe at least 5 out out 10 guys were making money, although I only did it for 2 1/2 weeks.

If I allow pick4s, 6s, etc..., and supers, then I really doubt that people are willing to follow a guys picks because of the $ amounts required to play these wagers. If you can hit these difficult wagers with only $100 to play with, then you must be exceptional. Besides, I believe the majority of us have accounts at betehorse, and they do not accept these kinds of wagers.

If you play the picks, you are still keying on specific horses in each leg, so you could still give us the other types of wagers. We had a decent amount of participation last time, and this time I think we can get even more guys throwing out picks. Looking forward to your picks.

TA,

I don't think we've ever had any problems with one another, maybe a couple of misunderstandings, and disagreements.

I remember you saying that you were just a weekend handicapper, and I want everyone to participate. So this time I don't think that I will impose any weekly bet quotas. I will simply keep track of each players' bets, and tally up their total handle, so that everyone knows how consistent some cappers are. Perhaps some of us would like to see a decent amount of handle before we start following someones picks, perhaps others don't. I am open to any suggestions. Looking forward to seeing your picks.
