It is a matter of the fish`s playing style imo too, but overall quite on the opposite of the table, so that I can gather some information from the people to his left, when he bets out.

I prefer to sit to the left of a aggresive (maniac) fish and to the right of a passive (calling station) fish.

Are you talking online poker, nehp? I really wish all poker rooms let you choose your seat in sng's. Not that it matters that much but I'd rather keep "beatchasucka!" on my right if possible, even if I have never seen him play.
