I think McMurray is going to be tough this week. If you average his stats and Kurt's at Fontana, they're very strong, plus he tested well at Vegas.

I was looking for a little better price than 12 or 14 though. No action yet.

Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at California:
"We're looking forward to racing out in California this weekend. The car that we're taking out there we tested in Vegas a few weeks ago and it was pretty fast. Jamie has had some good finishes in Fontana so I know he can get around this track."

A friend mine who sat and and clocked the Vegas test said this was the most impressive car he saw out there the entire test.

I jumped on the 14/1 since I doubt you will find anything better.

Kenseth fastest by half a second in final practice!
WTF?

Lots of 14-1 available on this guy. I'd take it if I didn't know that wrecking Stewart was Job 1 tomorrow.

(Job 1. Get it? Ford? Man, I crack myself sometimes!)

This is one matchup that I am really struggling with - most firms have got Gordon as a slight fav over Martin to win the race, some Martin slightly favoured but overall the prices are fairly similar between the pair. On the face of that I am really struggling not to believe that this matchup price should not be a lot closer and have actually just pulled the trigger on Gordon +133 (pinnacle).

Is it just me or does it not make much sense for a firm to have Gordon 12/1 and Martn 14/1 to win the race - yet have Martin nearly -150 to win the matchup?

I too liked Kenseth early in the week. I didnt get as good of a price as some of ya'll but:

17 to win 12.45-1 1.5 units
16 over 2 -155 3
26 over 99 +120 2.5
25 over 8 -155 3.5
17 over 2 -135 4
26 over 9 -130 3

I didnt get to watch Happy Hour. I did watch Qualifying. Sure looked like the 29 was moving pretty good by himself. Obviously doesnt mean he will in traffic, but it sure seems he is overlooked here. That being said, I dont know what it would take for Rousch to not win this race.

CRIS in rare form on some of their lines today:

Automaker to win the race:
Chevy -1.40
Dodge +2.00
Ford -1.30

Highest Finisher Group 5
Labonte,B +8.00
Vickers -1.45

Wonder how much volume they get on these gems.
