I am with you on Kahne over Vickers. I got -145 for 3 units.
I also took Martin over Edwards which I must be getting suckered in on this one because I dont see it even close. So I laid -140 for 4 units.

I was close to playing Martin as well.
I held off for a couple of reasons.

Line was -1.40
Edwards tested at Martinsville and Martin did not.
Martin has been mediocre over last 11 Q runs at Martinsville with a best start of 13th and average of 22.

I am guessing that Martin rates to qualify around 22nd.
In Edwards 7 qualifying attempts at a short track, 25 is the median.
Not sure I wanted to lay -1.40, line looked pretty close.

A little bit tempted to take some of the 35/1 on Harvick out there.

Going to also put a unit or two on Stewart @ 7/1. Not great value, but he had the best car in the spring.

Looking at the Q Matchups you put up at Las Palmas,

Gordon over Newman +1.80
I would make that line a lot lower, like Newman -1.30 or something like that.

Wallace, R +1.30 vs Mayfield (was tempted not to post this, will bet it at 5 dimes for a whopping $100 when it comes up) This matchup is pretty bad, Chillin. You could make a case that Wallace should be -2.00.

Biffle/Stewart - No opinion, Biffle tested.

Martin/Johnson - would be tempted to take Martin with the + money, Johnson has been pretty bad this year at short track qualifying, but Johnson did test.

Riggs/Nemechek - No Play

Harvick over Busch, Kurt -1.25, very slight value on Harvick.

I appreciate the input as always Crony. I will move aggresivley if I get that action on those.

Rusty is going to be driving the wheels of his car to get a win in his last real chance. Not to mention his Chase chances are slipping unless he gets a win. So I dont see his odds going up regardless of practice and qualifying. I am gonna put a few units on him now at 5 dimes 12-1 to win Sunday.

Chillin,

You have Gordon now -1.80 over Newman?
160 cent line move?

If you just moved on action moving 20 cents a hit, that would be 8 limit plays on Gordon.
How much Gordon money did you get?

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – driver, No. 8 Budweiser team:
“Short track racing is like walking through a minefield. You have to watch every move and be completely aware of what's going on around you. If you give the guy in front of you some room, you'll get booted from behind. We've been good (at Martinsville) the last few years, and we’ve done everything but win. It seems like there are usually a few long green-flag runs at Martinsville, and I've always been lucky enough to take advantage of having a car that is better on the long runs. We need good pit stops, because track position is so important. If we get all those things clicking, we have a shot at winning.”

On finishing the final five races of the season:
“If I can avoid crashin’ the car, we’ll be OK. At Talladega and Kansas, we were in wrecks pretty early, and at Charlotte, the tire exploded and we hit the wall. But looking forward to the rest of the year, Tony (Eury) Jr. is one of the best guys in the garage as far as setting the cars up at this point. I’ve got some great opportunities to win races, so I’m excited.”

Jamie McMurray on Martinsville Speedway:
“I’m hoping to post a good run at Martinsville. We’ve had some strong performances the last few weeks and just don’t have the results to show it. The cars have been running well, but something seems to happen every time that takes us out of contention. That’s kind of the way our luck has been this season, but maybe it will turn around for us this weekend.

“I enjoy racing at Martinsville because it takes you back to the days of racing on the local short tracks. Typically it has been a good track for us and we finished second in this race last season. It would be nice to improve that by one position. Martinsville always provides exciting racing, and with so much on the line regarding ‘The Chase’ I expect there will be much of the same on Sunday.”

What do you guys think? I liked a couple others as well but didnt wanna lay the cake.
I didnt really wanna lay anything over -135 i mean heys its martinsville, anything can happen.

Well boys, I gave Mears and the 41 a try last week at 100-1 (finished 6th). This week I am trying the 40 of Sterling Marlin @125-1.

Have you guys tracked or monitored your plays before? do you have YTD's? etc? Picking outright winner is so hard with nascar, i really like capping the matchups though.
