Burn a little money to start: Win McMurray 30/1 Newman 40/1 Carpentier 30/1 Said 30/1 Fellows 25/1 If you just bet Jeff Gordon/Stewart to win every road course you would have won 6 of the last 9. I am a sucker for "Value"

Qualifying J.Gordon(-120) over Johnson Ambrose(-130) over Carpentier R.Gordon(-125) over Said, I hit this before the line move Truex(-110) over Mears Crony, I hope you're not on the opposite side of these. If so I'll probably lose!

Heartman, like all your plays except Truex - think that one is 50/50. So far I am only on Gordon over Said. Find that matchup kind of interesting. At Sears, Said said (forgive me) that he was going to hold back a little in qualifying to make sure he made no mistakes and made the race. Watkins Glen is less technical, not sure how much Said will hold back there. (I was on Said over Gordon at Sears +1.15, but the holding back part makes a pretty big difference I think).

R.Gordon is in the race for sure, but Said isn't. If Said crashes or goes off course on his Q run, he doesn't make the race. That's a huge advantage for Robby! J.Gordon tested recently at Road Atlanta or somewhere. Edge Jeffy. Carpentier is good on his home track in Montreal, but not nearly as impressive at Infeneon or W.Glen. Edge Ambrose. Truex won the 1st Mexico road race I do believe. He's staying at DEI, Mears is leaving Hendricks. Close call but I give the edge to Truex. I also like Newman(+115) over Kahne. I'm worried about Kahne winning the pole at Infineon, but he admits he's not as good at the Glen.

With you on Gordon over Johnson. Most the teams tested Atlanta or Virginia or somewhere, even if it doesn't say so in the preview release. I scalped the Newman/Kahne matchup. Don't really like laying 30 on Ambrose vs a pretty good road racer. While Montreal maybe Carpentier's home track, I doubt he has raced whatever layout they were using much.

boris now running starting dead last in the 45 car. I wouldn't bet him at 40/1 practice tomorrow will be compelling. I'm hoping for rain. I'd like to see a nationwide rain tire race watching in the comfort of my home rather than drowning and freezing to death at the track.

Took a Flyer on Ambrose top 5 @ 3.85/1 Hard to believe Stewart is 3.5/1 with the improvement of guys like Johnson/Edwards/Hamlin/Kyle Busch and additional road course ringer types in the field like Montoya/Ambrose. Road course are much more competitive than they were 3 years ago. Would much rather take Stewart @ 2.75/1 to beat Gordon, J/Kyle Busch/Harvick/Hamlin. Can't bring myself to pull the trigger on Johnson @ 14/1 (bookmaker.com). Really like Bowyer +1.30 vs Burton.

I did pull the trigger on Jimmie for the 14's. Agree it's more competitive now so we'll see if he can hold off Mr. Stewart and Mr. Gordon. On a side note, thanks to TSN and Rogers not being able to agree with each other, Rogers is no longer allowed the TSN ALT feed. Thus...I can't watch the race!!!! ![]()
