Default Talladega - Aaron's 499

2 Qualifying Matchups

Biffle over Edwards -1.05
Harvick over Burton -1.30

Took Kurt Busch a few times in the early matchups, one time vs Bowyer another vs Kenseth. Don't know how you go against Busch in a plate race he has been lights out for years. 15 top 10's, 9 top 5's out of 21 starts.

Took some Kurt Busch Top 3 at 6/1. (7 out of 21 here, 2 out of last 10 at Talladega).

Qualifying tomorrow should be very interesting. Go or Go Home Cars will generally use a qualifying setup for impound races which gives them a big advantage in speed. At the same time since they are bunched up at the end I wonder if they made a deal amongst themselves that none will use a qualifying setup for this race so that those who do qualify aren't at a big disadvantage.

At the same time, even if they use a qualifying setup there is a big advantage at Talladega to go out early since the track heats up. And going out last they may be off the 2 mph or so they can make up with the setup just because of the heat in the track.

If any place took pole bets right now, I would bet on Reutimann and Stewart.

Hey Hartley,

What do you think? I know a lot of people like Dale Jr. today but I am thinking of another HMS driver and after yesterday I still like the guy I had in my column at Docs Sports to win today-especially now that he is starting from the front of the grid. Last week we nailed the 6/1 winner with Johnson but I was hoping he'd run out of gas since my 16/1 longshot Bowyer would have had a much nicer payday. As for Match-ups whatever you do don't take Bowyer today.

GLTA.

I'm on the 18 @ +713. REALLY good car at Daytona and the Toyotas will maintain the horsepower edge here. Of course, anything can happen in the last two laps.

Hope the weather holds.

Nice pick h upmann!!!

Impaler, why are you promoting your tout service in a Nascar forum where we post free picks?

Talking about your card the last race is weak, in my opinion!

Good call hupman. Next week is an impound race also. Hard to believe how bad Kenseth, Gordon and Kurt Busch have been. All 3 are in jeopardy of not making the chase
