mcmurray has been running very well lately from mid-pack starting positions with mediocre practice times. sunday he is starting 3rd, so he looks to be good value for this one. he seems to be generally available at 30-1 but i have seen him at 40-1 friday evening. unless he has just miserable practice times on saturday or wrecks, i would say he has a decent shot.

also like travis kvapil -130 over terry cook in the saturday noon truck race

Nice play.

It was all fuel at the end.

Lost a bet in a new way today.

Had Stewart over Gordon.
Sure loser but Gordon ran out of gas with about 2 laps to go.
Schrader decides to help out Gordon and pushes his car around about half a lap with his car.
Gordon gets a splash of gas and finishes 19th to Stewart's 20th.

damn crony now thats a bad beat. i suppose that shrader was enough laps down to the next guy and enough laps ahead of the driver behind him that it didn't matter what he did at the end, he was going to finish in the same position. i guess he did it for the "you owe me one now" benefit.

I usually lose the fuel strategy races. I'll take the good luck though. My accounts are really low and I'd like to finish the season without having to re-up. Too bad for the 15 car. Looks like he had the best car at the end. Hey jlpblade, looks like you had an excellent day at the races. Good picks!!!

thank you, heartman. if anyone has an acct where you can wager on who starts from the pole instead of who wins pole position, this might be the week to bet MK thanks to Isabel.

might be good to go ahead and take MK for the win, i believe he qualified top 5 or so anyway in the first race at dover. the thing that worries me about kenseth though, despite their comments to the contrary, is that i think at this point he will be more than happy to have top 10 finishes and not take any risks in order to win races.

i was happy to log a "better to be lucky than good" result at new hampshire as i bet against waltrip and, for reasons i still can't quite figure out, bet against jeff burton in two different matchups i try not to bet on or against the same driver more than once because if things don't go the way you expect or a wreck/etc. happens, it can pretty well ruin your day.

Kind of interesting.
For the hell of it compared Newman to Kenseth for the year.
Kenseth is 20-7 head up vs Newman.
In other words, if Newman hasn't won the race he is 1-20 vs Kenseth.
