Value in Nemecheck. I have him at 35-1 and think he has the most value on the board. Although, I don't like the fact that Hendricks already lost JJ's engine. New engine probably won't hurt JJ, especially after looking at his saturday practices. But what about the rest of the Hendrick engines.

Jimmy Johnson is going to try like hell to move through the field ASAP tomorrow. He wants that LOWES chevrolet running up front at LOWES motor speedway. It must be a nightmare for Lowes VIP's when it looks like Tony Stewart could win the races at this track every year. The Gibbs teams have looked incredible in practice and are starting 6th and 11th. JJ has his work cut out for him but the two points races here are his most important all season.

A strong chance of rain could end this one early. That uncertainty always favors the underdogs especially in win bets. It has also made me factor in starting position and Saturdays practice results slightly more than I would usually in the coke 600.

McMurray +110 ov Elliot 0.5*
Green -110 ov Park
Sadler -115 ov Jarrett
Waltrip +118 ov Marlin
R Wallace +139 ov J Burton
Craven +100 ov K Wallace 1.5*
R Wallace -115 ov Jarrett
Martin +115 ov J Burton

Saw a week or so ago where Nascar.com showed the amount of laps run in practice by each of the top 20 or so cars and the average lap speeds in addition to the standard fastest lap time. Was wondering if there are any sites which commonly have this info after happy hour or is this archived in trackpass on Nascar.com? Anybody else see any positive correlation in average lap speeds in practices and race results?

Kevin Harvick has been racing well lately. I picked him up at 20-1.

I was tempted to play Michael Waltrip @ 35-1.

Regardless off the odds the guys I think who have a chance..

Jeff Gordon
Dale Jr.
Matt Kenseth
Kurt Busch
Jimmie Johnson

I agree Bigdog. I also took Waltrip at those odds. Small play on Harvick as well.

GL!

I found more (and bigger) scalps than I expected, so I'm only playing:

18 BL +1000 0.25-2.50
48 JJ +1000 0.25-2.50

Good call jlpblade.
I just couldn't bring myself to bet on him thinking that the race might only go 305 miles and he night not have the time to get to the front.
Fall race will probably have JJ no better than +600.

Results this week: 5-3

I was pretty diappointed in FOX's coverage this week. It seemed like they never mentioned anyone unless they were in the top 10. They need to do the full field run down a couple of times each race with info from the crew chiefs on each car. For example anyone know what happened to Mark Martin? Why was Craven running so crappy, did they know they were losing the engine?

Missed all the regular posters.

grinin:

If I had known they were always going to take four tires instead of going for track position, I probably would have not played.
