Default IFC Announces Massive 8-Man Tourney

IFC announces a massive 8-man tournament today for 205 pound fighters, taking place in early September. The tournament fighters are:

Renato "Babalu" Sobral (Ruas Vale Tudo)

Mike van Arsdale

Jeremy Horn

Paulo Filho (Brazilian Top Team)

Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (Ninja's Brother, Chute Boxe)

Falaniko Vitale

Mikhail Avetisyan

Trevor Prangley (Lion's Den

Sean Grey (alternate)

Ahmad (alternate)

Eric Escobedo (alternate)

Tom Sauer (alternate)

Looks like a solid event.

Opening round of the Pride GP looks like the best MMA event in history though. Can't wait.

on paper, I thought the first Pride Grand Prix would be the best event ever. but Kerr's loss and the Royce/Sak snoozefest took a lot of steam out of it.

but I will agree that this next one should leave that in the dust. should be one for the ages and could pull alot of new fans into MMA.
