NY Giants/Eagles Total

For some reason this total stands out to me as being too high. In the playoffs things tighten up IMO and they get conservative. Anyone else think under here looks good?

I don't think it's too high at all, especially if Eli gets his head wired to his ass. I also don't think the Eagles will be conservative ...

The past 5/times they've met it's been high scoring.

Week 2: NYG 30 at Phi 24 .. (54)

pigpen, my concern is Philly's offense. I think they could put up 28-35 themselves in this game. The offeense has really been fantastic under Garcia

I am not touching the total at all.

Thanks guys those are some interesting stats. I don't know why this looks so inviting on the under. I still think I'll dip my toe in for a small opinion.

i've found always better to go with your own opinions

the more I listen to other people, the more likely I am to get mad at myself for not sticking to my guns to begin with

That's good advice DrunkGuy.

I usually stick w/my own opinions as well, but do go along w/other people on wagers from time to time. My luck has been bad up until last week when I did well.

VY10 has been on a roll, and still a couple of my picks differ from his.

I don't discourage an Under on the Eagles/Giants game because they both have fairly good defenses, and like Pigpen says, it's the playoffs an teams play tighter ... sometimes [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Discussion about games tho is one of the themes of this site, and that's what I enjoy, hearing what others have to say, and then of course I must make my own decisions.

For awhile there, my best bet was to pick my gutt then bet the opposite [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Just talked w/my friend Raiderdad who's on his way to Vegas at this moment, and he's putting a nickle on the Hawks/Boys Over soon as the plane touches down. Called me to get a weather report for 2moro LOL

I aint touchin O/U's in the playoffs. Either they'll be tight games, or they could end up bein blowouts ... any one of the QB's in the games this weekend have been known to go on shooting sprees [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

The under is a huge play today. I would wait till about a half hour before kickoff since I think the number is going to go up. The sqaures are all over the over.

ayep, I got burnt in the SBG contest already by takin the Hawks Ov, and so did Raiderdad last nite in Vegas. Luckily for him he hedged 2H Un and took Hawks out the gate on the ML. I said from the start it'd be a close game but didn't imagine it'd be under 3/pts - I forget about them damned Safety's [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

The more I think about it, the more I suspect the G-men will play a strong D game, and Philly as well. Gambler is right imo, and Un seems like the way to go, but I still aint touchin it ...

What I'm thinkin is take Eagles ML and in 2H play the O/U after seein how tight they're playin.

Other than bettin too many parlays year after year, my two biggest mistakes are takin too much risk when I'm down a few units tryin to get it back in big chunks, and also not holding on to my winnings an betting more bets.

Got a gutt feelin Jets aint gonna show up until 2H today (per usual), and may take them in 2H w/the Un. The +9.5 may not be enuff to ride out the game ...
