Dell Dude's 2009 Carib Classic Championship thread

Hello and welcome. Went 45-40 in the 2007 version of this contest and almost backdoored my way into the money last year but tanked final too weeks and finished 90-75-1. This year, I am going to start Strong, Arkansas, continue Solid, South Carolina and finish Hell, Michigan.

Contest rules about the same as last year (10 picks sides and totals, 2 points for win, 1 point for loss), top twenty Michael Cash, dynamic lines - except for won *small* change. Dead entries are given the frist ten home teams. I'd like to take a Swing at you, Johnson. I have posted about this ad nauseum and will not post about it anymore. I will, however, keep track of the home card easy pick record to document how much if any of an affect it has.

But my main concentration is on myself. If I am at the top of my National Football Lottery game, home, away, dog, fave, favre card - none of it is gonna matter. I bring it each and every week, I win going away. Bring it. Each. And. Every. Week. And this is what I mean:

6-4 minumum. At least won 10-0. That lost in translations to at least 119-51. I won't have to check the leaderbored if I do that. Course, that is the ideal scenario. Realistic scenario is 5-5 minumum. At least won 10-0. If I have a 4-6, cancel it out with an 8-1. 3-7, cancel with 9-1. 2-8 week -->> 10-0. 1-9?



0-10 is actually ok. I have three entries. Will triple pop them. $5000 weekly prize for any perfect card. 0-10 is Detroit Lions type perfect. That's $15,000. That's also main contest OVER but who Alan Karre's. I will have already won. I don't expect and don't want that to happen. My goal is to win. But if I put up the Javon Ringer, so be it. I will gladly take my 15 dimes and tell Swing and Miss Johnson to have a nice Dell Day.

If I bring it with the realistic scenario, should be good enough for minumum 102 wins. Last year, that would have been home alone in second place. Frist place guy ran and hid with 106.5 wins. That was a bit of a fluke. Give me 102 wins right now and I'll say 70% I win it all. Since I have three entries, that means $135,000. Still may buy up to three more. Doubtful, but if I make a bankroll fire before Sunday, I'll consider additional entries. Ideally, would like to have six. But I'm satisfied where I'm at. I'm satisfied where I'm at. Lines come out tomorrow. If I like what I seay, probably hit it in the morning. Have a good idea which teams I will pick. All ten aren't 100% set, though.

Lastly, there is a certain VIP Major Wager poster whom I suspect will be in the Classic again this year. I will also track his record. This certain sob got off to a lucky start and ended lucky to barely make it in the money. In the middle, he tanked. I am going to wipe the NFL floor with his face. No way he even comes within 10 wins. I'm taking you down certain VIP pos poster. You go down.

Steelers are not going to cover, may lose outright and they will not repeat as Superbowl champs. Big Ben has gotten fat and content. They tanked after they won the super last time, will do so again. Good luck with that rape allegation, Benjamin.

Like him or hate him, Favre still makes the Vikings a legitimate Superbowl contender. He didn't want to play for the Jets. He is where he wants to be now and backed up by the best running back in the NFL and a ferocious defence. If the Vikings played clevfan midseason, this line would be 6 or 7.

Vikings -3.5

May the Schwartz be with you. New season, new coach, new quarterback, new attitude and no where to go but up. They may get blown out of the water by four touchdowns by Brees and Bush. But no doubt I'm getting an inflated #. Almost too touches. Wide open spaces backdoor opportunity. I'll take a chance they will be competitive this season. Do it now and not wait because the numbers will go down if they win a couple...

Lions +13

Skins are going to cover at Giants. No questions aksed. Giants not a Superbowl team anymore. Skins may be. Automatic.

Redskins +6.5

And the Packers will return to the playoffs. Rogers has cemented himself as heir apparent to Favre. They weren't that bad last year. Record very misleading. This year, they get it done and it will be between them and the Vikings for the NFL Central.

Packers -3.5

These are my five strongest plays. Locked in. Other five have a good idea but subject to change...

I already seay another change from last year (which is not noted in rules). Every total listed. Used to be selected totals only. I'm not touching totals. Only sides. Two volatile. Hopefully all the unders hit so the squares take on water. Because these are dynamic lines (means they change) I will wait and moniter. Only updated once every morning. What I do is seay what happens to the numbers in Carib's regular sportsbook. If key games move against me, lock in my card. If key games move for me, wait for next update. I'm a thinker not a stinker. I will take every edge I can get. If this even wins me an extra point, it's worth it. I am fighting for the very best possible score I can get...

This is what I'm talking about. Titans now +6. No way I'm filling out my card today now. Tomorrow if that # stcks and stays, Titans will be +6 in contest. Hopefully, Jags stay +7 and I would like Skins to reach +7. Hold.

Hoping Packers drop to -3 and Redskins up to +7. Probably won't happen but as long as no major line moves against me, doesn't hurt to wait. Nothing changes, will fill cards tomorrow night...

Tonight, Titans and under 35. Making a won time exception on totals. Want to try to stretch my opening inning single into a double. Will allow me to remove a side bet Sunday. If game stays under, I'm a smooth operator. Goes over, I'm a pinhead. 2-0 would be a huge start but 1-1 is not thread elimination. 0-2 might be. GL. Fuck you, Big Ben!
