Lindsay Lohan cited for suspicion of DUI....Cocaine found at the scene

In a press conference this afternoon about the arrest of Lindsay Lohan, cops say they found a "usable amount" of a drug they say was cocaine at the scene. Lt. Mitch McCann of the Beverly Hills Police Department would not say where the drug was found but it was "not on her person."

Police tell TMZ that 20-year-old Lohan and two other adults were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible when she lost control and crashed into a curb and trees in Beverly Hills, Calif. around 5:30 AM. After the crash, police say LiLo got into another car and was driven to Century City Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries that involved "something to her upper chest area." The two other people in her car were not hurt they said.

Officers received a 911 call about the accident and "tracked Ms. Lohan to the local hospital, where she was ultimately placed under arrest" for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Lt. McCann said it appeared as if Lohan was speeding and lost control.

Lohan was cited and released and will have to face a judge.

A rep for Lohan could not be reached for comment.

Lindsay Lohan was arrested and cited for driving under the influence in Los Angeles in the wee hours of Saturday morning, say police, who also found a substance tentatively identified as "a usable amount of cocaine" in connection with the accident.

The 20-year-old actress was slightly injured when her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible struck a curb and shrub on Sunset Boulevard. The car suffered "major damage," according to police.

Lohan and two other people were in the vehicle when it crashed around 5:30 a.m., Lt. Mitch McCann, media relations officer for Beverly Hills police department, said during a press conference Saturday. The star was hospitalized for minor upper chest injuries. The passengers were not hurt.

At the press conference McCann said: "A usable amount of an illegal narcotic tentatively identified as cocaine was recovered and booked." Police would not specify where the drugs were found.

"She was charged with a misdemeanor," said McCann. "There is a potential for additional charges."

Lohan Allegedly Drunk and Coked Up During Car Crash

Lindsay Lohan was allegedly drunk and had cocaine in her system during an early morning smash-up in Beverly Hills on Memorial Day weekend.

According to multiple law enforcement sources, toxicology reports conclude that Lohan, 20, had "nearly twice the legal limit" of alcohol and traces of blow in her bloodstream when she crashed her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible into a curb on Sunset Blvd. around 5:30 AM on May 26. In California, drivers with a .08 or higher are legally drunk.

Police tell TMZ Lohan and two other adults were in the car at the time of the accident. After the crash, she was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries, then placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI. Cops later said they found a "usable amount" of cocaine in the car.

We're told that the Beverly Hills Police Dept. could present the case to the Los Angeles D.A. in the next few days.

Lohan's lawyer, Blair Berk, told TMZ, "It's highly inappropriate for me to discuss a pending case." Berk added, "It is extremely unprofessional for law enforcement to do it."

LINDSAY LOHAN's lawyer have angrily blasted the police for "selling stories", after the actress' toxicology tests following her drink driving arrest were leaked online.
A report published on entertainment site TMZ.com shows Lohan had cocaine and "nearly twice the legal limit" of alcohol in her blood when she crashed her Mercedes in Beverly Hills, California on 26 May (07).

Following her arrest, Lohan checked into Promises rehabilitation centre in Malibu, California, where she currently is still seeking treatment.

After police sources told TMZ.com the alleged results of the toxicology tests, the Mean Girls star's attorney issued an angry comment.

Lawyer Blair Berk tells the New York Daily News, "This is an ongoing investigation. It is shameful that law enforcement would be selling stories, let alone unverified ones."

Jane Robison, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney, says, "Our office has not received the final toxicology reports - only preliminary results - and the police have not formally filed a case yet."

Actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested for driving under the influence and felony drug possession again early Tuesday,
after an incident involving a car chase with the mother of her personal assistant, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

Lohan was taken into custody near the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, according to police, and was released several hours later after posting $25,000 bail.


Police transported Lohan to the station after she failed a field sobriety test. During a pre-booking search, police found cocaine in one of her pant pockets, according to Sgt. Shane Talbot, a spokesman for the Santa Monica police.

A breath test was conducted and her blood alcohol was between .12 percent and .13 percent, Talbot said. California's legal limit is 0.08 percent.

The 21-year-old actress was booked on two misdemeanor charges of suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license and two felony charges of possession of cocaine and transport of a narcotic, Talbot said.

The arrest came after a chase and argument between Lohan, the driver of a white Denali sport utility vehicle, and a woman police described as the mother of the actress' former personal assistant, in a black Cadillac Escalade.

Police said the woman, who had one passenger in her car, called police around 1:30 a.m. PST to report that she was being chased.

"The mother was afraid," said Lt. Alex Padilla, of the Santa Monica police. "She wasn't quite sure what was going on so she called the police saying she wanted to make sure everything was going to be OK."

The woman apparently didn't realize it was Lohan who was chasing her, Padilla said.

It's unclear why Lohan was giving chase, according to Padilla, who did not immediately release the woman's name. The personal assistant had quit her job working for Lohan only hours before, Padilla added.

Police said the personal assistant's mother, followed by Lohan, drove into the parking lot of civic center just a block away from the police department.

Authorities met the vehicles in the parking lot, where they witnessed Lohan and the woman in "heated debate," Padilla said. Lohan and the woman each had two passengers in their cars.

The actress recently completed a high-profile 45-day rehab program that she checked into after crashing her Mercedes in May. It was Lohan's second trip to rehab in a year.

Last Thursday, Lohan went to the Beverly Hills Police Department to be fingerprinted, photographed and booked on a suspicion of driving under the influence tied to that accident. She had an Aug. 24 court appearance in connection with that case. Lohan also faces a misdemeanor charge of hit and run in that case.

Lohan's attorney, Blair Berk, issued the following statement Tuesday, which was run on TMZ.com:

"Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety.

Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed.

The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care."
