Lindsay Lohan has reportedly started writing her autobiography in a desperate bid to raise some cash.

The 21-year-old actress - who is rumored to be in financial difficulties
after blowing her $7 million fortune on drugs, alcohol and rehab - has begun
penning her memoirs in the hope it will become a bestseller.

A source said: "She regrets all the cash she threw around the last couple
years. She needs everything to fall into place and get her back on track,
and fast."

It was recently reported Lindsay is so poor she has been asking friends for
loans.

A source said: "Lindsay has been openly asking her friends for handouts. She
has nothing to spend."

Lindsay's extravagant spending spree reportedly included $1 million on just
one hotel bill.

She has also spent more than $137,000 on three separate stints in rehab
battling her drug and alcohol addictions, and thousands more in legal fees
for her driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

Lindsay is also thought to have blown more than $1 million on clothes and
$500,000 on partying, with another $70,000 spent in tanning and hair salons.

She has been forced her to sell her $2.85 million Los Angeles apartment and
her $1 million New York property because she couldn't afford the mortgage
payments.

Lohans Mugshot to be used in new 'Anti-Alcohol' Campaign

A U.S. restaurant/liquor group are using LINDSAY LOHAN'S mug shot to launch a campaign against new technology aimed at keeping intoxicated drivers off the road.

The American Beverage Institute (ABI), a restaurant trade association which promotes responsible alcohol consumption, has taken out a full-page ad in American newspaper USA Today featuring the troubled star's photo, taken after she was arrested in Los Angeles last year (07) for driving drunk.

A caption reads: "Ignition interlocks. A good idea for:" (Lohan) "But a bad idea for us:" displaying pictures of adults enjoying alcohol at restaurants and weddings.

The ad claims ignition interlocks, devices which prevent drunks from starting their cars, are "a great tool for getting hard-core drunk drivers off our roads" - but if the technology is installed in every vehicle, it could mean "an end to moderate and responsible drinking prior to driving."

Blair Berk, Lohan's lawyer, says the 21-year-old "fully endorses ignition interlock devices".

The ABI says it plans to use mug shots of other stars arrested for driving under the influence in its ongoing campaign, but did not specify details.

Lindsay Lohan arrest warrant issued by Beverly Hills police over drunk-driving arrest from 2007

Troubled 22-year-old starlet Lindsay Lohan is wanted on a $50,000 warrant over a two-year-old drunken driving arrest, Beverly Hills police said Saturday.

"The circumstances leading to the issuance of the warrant by the court are not readily available at this time," read a statement from police.

"It is our hope that Ms. Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter can be resolved in a timely manner."

Lohan's harried spokeswoman, Leslie Sloan Zelnick, answered her phone Saturday by saying, "If this is about Lindsay, I have no idea what's going on."

The warrant was issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court, and stems from a May 2007 arrest where Lohan was charged with driving under the influence and hit and run.

The "Mean Girls" star, after a trip to rehab, spent 84 minutes in jail on the drunken driving charge back in November 2007.

Celebrity Web site TMZ asked Lohan about the warrant Friday night as she left the Chateau Marmont on West Hollywood, but she ducked her head and said nothing as she was driven away.

It's possible the warrant was tied to terms of Lohan's probation in the case.

Police arrive to keep paparazzi at bay, as ''Counselors'' visit with Lindsay Lohan

While Lindsay Lohan remains holed up inside Samantha Ronson's Hollywood Hills home awaiting a court hearing Monday on an arrest warrant in her DUI case, she hasn't been alone.

Aside from a squadron of police cars keeping paparazzi at bay, a trio of women paid a visit Saturday evening for an apparent counseling session.

The threesome arrived around 7:15 and left about an hour later. When asked how their meeting with Lohan went, one of the women, who identified herself as a longtime friend, replied, "Good." Asked how Lohan was doing, the woman repeated, "Good."

Earlier, the arrival of LAPD cars outside the home led to speculation that officers might be acting on the arrest warrant issued Friday. But the police quickly quashed such talk. "They are there for paparazzi," said a department spokesman. "We are not the ones looking for Lindsay Lohan." (The warrant is in the jurisdiction of the Beverly Hills Police Department.)

Indeed, a crowd had gathered outside the home, comprised of paparazzi and other news media types, curiosity seekers and angry neighbors. Photographers who had been camped out since Friday night said they heard the sounds of an argument and of broken glass from a window breaking at Ronson's house.

"Everything is good. I am in a really good place. I've been working a lot," she told UsMagazine.com Thursday. "I literally slept the entire day yesterday. I woke up, and it was like 10 o'clock at night. I was like, 'I have stuff to do!'"
