Danielle Lloyd was left needing emergency surgery after she was hurled through a glass table in a vicious nightclub brawl.  Quote:
Shocked onlookers spotted the 25-year-old lying on the pavement, covered in blood, outside the Crystal nightclub in central London.
She was then taken by ambulance to hospital where she received stitches for leg and back wounds.
Police arrested two women in their 20s over the incident.
Lloyd and boyfriend Spurs footballer Jamie O'Hara posed for the cameras when they arrived hand-in-hand at the club at 11pm.
But three hours later O'Hara, 22, was covered in his girlfriend's blood after the catfight.
The brawl was said to have been sparked by two girls dancing on the back of a VIP sofa Lloyd was sitting on.
Witnesses told reporters that punches and slaps were exchanged.
A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police told Sky News Online: "We were called at approximately at 2am on Monday 25th to the Crystal Club in Wells Street W1 to reports of a woman having sustained a leg injury in an incident at the club.
"The woman aged in her 20s was taken in an ambulance to a central London hospital. She has subsequently been discharged.
"Officers attended the scene, and two women were arrested on suspicion of GBH. Both were taken to a central London police station and bailed until a date in late July."
A statement from Lloyd's management said: "Danielle sustained a serious wound to her back which required stitches upon arrival at hospital."
She had been socialising with six friends, including her boyfriend O'Hara, when the incident happened, it added.
Earlier this month, Lloyd, who has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, suffered a cut lip in a bar fracas in South Woodford, North-East London.
She shot to fame when she was stripped of her Miss Great Britain title in 2006 after it was revealed she was having a relationship with one of the judges, footballer Teddy Sheringham.
Since dating Sheringham, she has been linked to a string of footballers including Marcus Bent and Jermain Defoe.
While in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2007, she and Jade Goody became embroiled in a racism row after they were accused of bullying Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. | |
